There are 242 Pokémon for players to catch in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, and trainers can obtain all eight of Eevee’s evolutions, including Flareon, the Fire-type Eeveelution. Along with Jolteon and Vaporeon, Flareon was one of the original three Eeveelutions introduced in Gen I along with Eevee, and trainers can catch all of these classic fan-favorites in the ancient Hisui region. However, the easiest way to obtain a Flareon is to evolve one from Eevee, which spawns much more commonly than any of its evolved forms in Pokémon Legends: Arceus.

Of all the Eeveelutions, Flareon has the highest attack stat, making it the strongest physical attacker of the bunch. However, most of the Fire-type moves Flareon can learn are special attacks, making it a versatile offensive team member. As a Fire-type, Flareon is resistant to Fire-, Grass-, Bug-, Steel-, Ice-, and Fairy-type attacks, but it’s weak against Water, Rock, and Ground-Types.

To catch a Flareon, Pokémon Legends: Arceus players will have to wait for a Space-Time Distortion to appear in the map’s Crimson Mirelands or Cobalt Coastlands area. This is because Flareon can only be found in these purple pocket dimensions and doesn’t spawn in any locations throughout the overworld of Hisui. Since it’s a rare spawn, players may need to search several Space-Time Distortions before encountering one. However, Eevee can be found more frequently in these dimensional rifts, giving players the chance to evolve a Flareon instead.

How To Evolve Flareon In Pokémon Legends: Arceus

In addition to spawning in Space-Time Distortions throughout each region of Hisui, Eevee can be found in several locations in Pokémon Legends: Arceus’ overworld as well. For example, players may come across an Eevee in the Horseshoe Plains of the Obsidian Fieldlands relatively early on in the game if they’re lucky, but Eevee can also be found at the Crossing Slope of the Cobalt Coastlands as well as Avalugg’s Legacy and the Avalanche Slopes in the Alabaster Icelands. Still, Eevee is a very rare spawn outside of Space-Time Distortions, so trainers will likely have better luck encountering an Eevee by waiting for a Distortion to appear.

Trainers can evolve Eevee into Flareon by giving it a Fire Stone, which can be obtained in several different ways in Pokémon Legends: Arceus. Fire Stones have a chance to spawn inside Space-Time Distortions along with other Evolution Items, but trainers can also purchase a Fire Stone from the Trading Post in Jubilife Village for 1,000 Merit Points. Trainers will also be given a choice between a Fire Stone, Water Stone, and Thunder Stone when they complete Request 52, “Eevee’s Evolutions.”
