All eight of Eevee’s evolutions can be caught in the ancient Hisui region of Pokémon Legends: Arceus and the Water-type Vaporeon is one of the most popular among them. Introduced as one of the three original Eeveelutions in Gen 1 alongside Jolteon and Flareon, Vaporeon is frequently listed in the top tiers of Water-type Pokémon in the series. Pokémon Legends: Arceus players will be able to find and catch Vaporeon with a bit of luck, but they can also evolve Vaporeon from an Eevee to add it to their Hisuian Pokédex.

As a Water-type Pokémon, Vaporeon is resistant to Fire-, Water-, Ice-, and Steel-type attacks, and its only weaknesses are Grass- and Electric-types. Vaporeon is often considered to be one of the best Eeveelutions in the game thanks to its high base HP and strong offensive and defensive abilities. Not only is Vaporeon a powerful Special Attacker, but its move pool in Pokémon Legends: Arceus includes a variety of different types of special moves like Water Pulse, Ice Beam, and Hyper Beam.

Like every Eeveelutions in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, Vaporeon can only be caught in the Space-Time Distortions that spawn at random throughout Hisui. However, Vaporeon doesn’t spawn in every area of the region, and trainers will only be able to encounter it in the Cobalt Coastlands’ Space-Time Distortions. Players have found that the fastest way to get Space-Time Distortions to spawn is by simply putting down the controller and doing nothing until one spawns, which guarantees that the player doesn’t accidentally reset any of the conditions required for a Space-Time Distortion to activate.

How To Evolve Vaporeon In Pokémon Legends: Arceus

Trainers can evolve their Eevee into Vaporeon with a Water Stone in Pokémon Legends: Arceus. Water Stones have a chance to spawn in sparkling ore throughout Hisui, but players can find this evolution item more commonly on the ground inside Space-Time Distortions. Water Stones can also be purchased from the Trading Post with Merit Points, which trainers can earn by picking up Lost Satchels that other players or NPCs have dropped. Some Lost Satchels will even contain Evolution Items like Water Stones that players can collect when they pick them up. However, players can also choose a Water Stone as one of the rewards for completing Request 52, “Eevee’s Evolutions,” but they’ll have to pick between a Water Stone, Fire Stone, or Thunder Stone.

Pokémon Legends: Arceus players may be able to find an Eevee to evolve in the Obsidian Fieldlands’ Horseshoe Plains, the Cobalt Coastlands’ Crossing Slope, and the Alabaster Icelands’ Avalanche Slopes and Avalugg’s Legacy areas. However, Eevee is a rare spawn in these locations, making it difficult to encounter in the wild. Fortunately, Eevee appears frequently in Space-Time Distortions, so trainers should be able to capture at least one in each Space-Time Distortion they enter.
