Ghost of Tsushima is a game full of choices, including changing the color of the player’s armor. From narrative choices to equipment customization, players must master many facets of gameplay including fighting stances, changing equipment, and balancing the different tools used by the warrior samurai. Players must conquer the terrain with their style of choice. The player can be tactical and take advantage of surroundings with stealth, but they can also be honorable and confront the enemy head-on.

Players must have the proper resources on hand in order to upgrade and customize their equipment. While Ghost of Tsushima wistfully takes the player across the Tsushima Province, it is easy to get distracted while traveling as the player can encounter side missions and event locations, such as fox dens that lead to Inari Shrines. Along the way, it is important the players pick up any resources such as flowers, bamboo, and supplies. Flowers are needed for purchasing armor dyes. This guide will discuss how to change the players’ armor color in Ghost of Tsushima.

How to Change Armor Color in Ghost of Tsushima

Players have the option to wear several different armor sets in Ghost of Tsushima, each with their own unique perks for aiding the player’s combat style. Players are given the option to change the color of their armor with the use of flowers. To use these flowers, players must have first encountered a location with a Merchant that sells armor dyes. The armor dyes are purchasable with flowers acting as the currency. Players may also change dye color at any point in time in the Gear menu. The armor dyes can be found under the armor upgrade information. All merchants in Act 1 in the Izuhara region share the same inventory. After Act 1, players can find new armor dyes in the main towns in Kamigata and Toyotama.

While the dyes do not give a bonus to players, many players are interested in the fashion put into the armor and enjoy color-coordinating their armor and weapons for aesthetic appeal. Flowers can be found in a variety of colors all across Tsushima. Players can also take advantage of the Guiding Wind ability to track flowers for more efficient gathering. Players can also find two hidden merchants within Ghost of Tsushima for special black and white dyed armor. Ghost of Tsushima provides a wonderful, new open-world experience for players to explore, gather, and fight their way to reclaiming their homeland from the Mongols.

Ghost of Tsushima is available now on PS4.
