Watch Dogs: Legionsmight as well be a spy-crime fighting video game. In fact, there are actual spies in the game that have some amazing tools and intrinsic abilities that take the game to the next level. One of the coolest aspects of the game is the vehicles, from motorcycles to a passenger bus, players will have plenty to choose from when getting around London.

There are a number of customization options in Watch Dogs, but many of them are limited to numerous circumstances. For vehicles, the privilege of customizing is left only to those with the ability to summon one. Recruiting people is one of the most important tasks and finding someone with a personal vehicle tied to them is the only way to pimp it out. This however is explicitly limited to color palette only. Cars all operate based on their initial design and cannot undergo any game-breaking alterations or improvements. So while some cars are faster than others, speed sometimes isn’t always the answer. Here’s how players can customize their looks.

How to Customize Cars in Watch Dogs Legions

As mentioned before, recruiting people with their own personal vehicles is the only way to change their appearance. Players can steal vehicles and use them however they choose, but once a vehicle has been left in a specific location, it will stay there until the game is re-loaded. Buying vehicles is off the table as is stealing them and storing them for later.

After recruiting someone with a vehicle, enter the Team Sub-menu and scroll over to the edit option above their picture. Once in, scroll up to the vehicle in question and press the corresponding button to customize it. Players should see a drop-down menu of colors available to vehicle selected and can purchase them using the cryptocurrency. Some are affordable while others are downright way too expensive. To make it easier, try recruiting someone who receives a discount for paint job purchases.

Each vehicle might have some differences as for what colors are actually available but they should be similar either way. The flashier the car, the flashier the colors may be so make an attempt to recruit someone with a ridiculously outstanding car. Celebrities tend to be a good source for these but players can’t see the car until the person has actually been recruited. Just retire the operative if the car they have isn’t the desired vehicle, and keep searching until the right one comes across.
