How to Defeat Sawashiro in Yakuza: Like a Dragon

Sawashiro’s fight in Chapter 13 has three different phases. The second and third phases will begin after Sawashiro starts to lose HP. Players should use defense debuffs and Han’s poison shot in order to weaken Sawashiro throughout the fight.

In the first phase, players will have to defend themselves against his sword. He will primarily use a ranged attack during this phase until he is at two-thirds of his health. During this phase, players will need to protect characters with low HP to avoid his blade attacks.

The second phase starts when Sawashiro has expended a third of his health. Sawashiro will use his cane during this phase, in conjunction with a follow-up attack. Try to guard against his attack as much as possible and heal allies during this phase.

Once two-thirds of Sawashiro’s HP has been expended, his third phase will begin. Here, he will regain 1,000 HP for each turn he plays with his cane and sword. Try to deal as much damage as possible within a turn with Cutting and Electric attacks. Eventually, Sawashiro will lose enough HP that he will be defeated.

With Sawashiro defeated, Kasuga will be one step closer to clearing his name and defeating Masumi Arakawa with the help of his friends.
