They also have access to a wide array of different gear that will make their characters more powerful.

Obtaining new gear for each character is integral to performing well in combat. While leveling up will give players access to new skills, gear is what boosts a character’s damage capabilities. This means that without access to decent gear, a character can become very ineffectual in combat. Players will want to earn the strongest gear that they possibly can. There are many different types of gear throughout the game, and players will need to understand which types are better to properly use them. Exotic gear is the best possible gear in the game, and each piece will come with increased stats as well as perks that give players different boosts in combat. This gear is difficult to find though, so players will need to grind a little bit to receive them.

The first option that players have for obtaining exotic gear is by opening chests that they find throughout levels. Most of these chests won’t earn the player any exotic gear, but a few of the ones tucked away in some hidden areas will give players more chances to pick some up. Players should keep an eye out for chests hidden away in secret parts of a map, or listen for JARVIS to point out chests on the map.

Another great way to track down exotic gear is to fight against Elite AIM units. These are special enemies that are more powerful than their normal counterparts. They will put up a very difficult fight against players, but if they are brought down they will drop strong pieces of gear. These aren’t always exotic gear pieces though, so players will probably need to fight several Elite units in a row before getting a new exotic piece.
