It is incredibly important throughout Loop Hero for players to acquire as many different upgrades for their base as possible. The reason for this is that by purchasing and creating different buildings at the main base the player will be able to unlock new cards, which in turn allow them create new combos and face off against higher tier enemies. By moving higher up the chain players are then able to get their hands on better resources as well.

Resources are some of the most important things in the game because using them is the only way that the player can progress. There are thirteen different resource types in the game and acquiring each one is very necessary. The problem is that these items can only be acquired in some very specific ways, and each one is completely different. This guide shows players how to farm all resources in Loop Hero.

Loop Hero – How to Farm All Resources

Each of the different resource types in the game are acquired in different ways. Some of them will require the player to defeat a certain kind of enemy, while others will need the player to create a certain tile combination first before it appears. The problem though is that rather than trying to collect everything at once, it is much better to only try and collect a few different resources at a time. Players should try to gear their deck towards farming one or two different resources.

Another thing that players should keep in mind when trying to acquire resources is that they can actually use the Treasury card to get their hands on some basic resource types. By placing eight cards around a Treasury card they will receive a random assortment of resources. This means that the player can use this method to farm several types at a time. Here are all thirteen resources and the methods for farming them:

Food Supply – Every time that the player acquires twelve Rations they will earn themselves a Food Supply. The easiest way to farm Rations is by placing a Meadows card somewhere on the loop to acquire a small number of them. As soon as they hit twelve these Rations are then converted into Food Supplies. The player can also place Battlefield cards and fight enemies there to occasionally earn full Food Supplies.

Stable Wood – When the player earns twelve Stable Branches they will be immediately converted into a Stable Wood. To farm these players will need to place as many Groves as possible on their loop, and every time they pass through one they will earn a Branch.

Preserved Rock – Once the player earns ten Preserved Pebbles they will then be converted into a Preserved Rock. Similar to Rations, the player will earn Pebbles by placing either a Rock or Mountain tile somewhere throughout the loop. They can also be earned by passing through a Cemetery tile. The player can also earn a large number of Pebbles by creating a Mountain Peak using a 3×3 grid of Mountains or Rocks.

Stable Metal – In order to earn a Stable Metal, the player will need to collect 13 Scrap Metal. Scrap Metal is only earned by the player collecting weapons and armor after their inventory has already been filled up. A great way to do this is by putting down tiles that spawn low-tier enemies. Place several Battlefields together to create a Bloody Road for example and fight the Blood Clots that spawn.

Metamorphosis – This is an interesting one because it is only created once the player manages to acquire 20 Noticeable Change. Noticeable Changes can only be acquired by triggering card combos. A great way to farm this resource is by placing down a bunch of Meadows next to tiles in order to create Blooming Meadows.

Book of Memories – Players can get their hands on this resource by converting ten Memory Fragments into one Book of Memories. There are actually two different ways to farm this resource. One is by creating the Cemetery at the base camp and then placing Cemetery cards on the loop. Then every time the player passes through a Cemetery tile they will acquire a Memory Fragment. Another option is to fill up the Card Deck at the bottom of the screen to force a discard. This will grant the player a Fragment.

Astral Orb – Any Mage or Cosmic type enemies will drop this resource when defeated, but most of these enemies can be difficult to summon and defeat. One of the easier ones to farm is Dark Slimes. These foes can be summoned by creating a Goblin Camp tile and then removing it will a Goblin is still on the tile. This will turn the Goblin into a Dark Slime and allow the player to fight it on their next loop.

Orb of Afterlife – The player can make this resource by collecting ten Pitiful Remains. Pitiful Remains will drop whenever the player defeats Undead enemies or Vampires in combat. Place a Village card right next to a Vampire Mansion in order to convert it into a Ransacked Village. This will give players several Ghouls and Vampires to dispatch and earn Pitiful Remains from.

Orb of Evolution – Earning this resource is done by killing any enemies in the game that are considered Plants or Living. One of the easier of these types to kill are Bandits, especially because they are really easy to spawn. All the player has to do is place two Villages somewhere on the loop to have these enemies spawn. Place more to grant more chances to fight against them.

Orb of Expansion – The only way to earn this resource is by killing at least five different enemies in a single fight. This is probably going to be one of the more difficult resources for players to acquire because it isn’t often that this many enemies are fought simultaneously, and even when they are there is no guarantee that the player will be able to defeat them. One way to farm these though is the same way that players farmed the Orb of Afterlife. By placing a Village near a Vampire Mansion the player can ensure that a Vampire and four Ghouls will try and fight them on their next loop. Keep in mind as well that the more enemies that are involved in the fight then the higher chance of the Orb being dropped.

Orb of Immortality – The only way to earn the Orb of Immortality is by making it all the way through the chapter and defeating one of the game’s bosses. There are four different bosses (and one secret boss) that the player can attempt to defeat to get this resource. This is the most difficult resource to farm.

Orb of Unity – To acquire the Orb of Unity the player must defeat any Liquid or Swarm type enemy in combat. Slimes are the most basic version of enemy to fight and they fulfill this criteria, so players should lay out several Wasteland cards in order to spawn Slimes.

Loop Hero can be played on PC.
