To find the secret boss of Risk of Rain 2, the player needs to reach the Gilded Coast, one of the Hidden Realms in the game. The only way to access this location is to encounter an Altar of Gold. This Alter randomly spawns and can be easily missed if not properly equipped. It’s essential to have at least 2,000 gold to open up the pathway. Play through the stage like normal but instead of going through the final portal, find the golden portal. This will lead the player to the Gilded Coast. That’s how players can encounter the games secret boss, Aurelionite.

When arriving in the Gilded Coast, the player will find 7 different beacons they can interact with. Players will need gold to interact with at least 4 of the beacons for the boss to appear. Also, the beacons need to be active in order to damage the boss, so pay attention to when it’s occurring. Its main method of attack is to slam and send shockwaves on the field. Playing a character like the Huntress is good for getting damage in from a distance. Although, they are easily damaged, dying from very low damage. The main method of winning is to move around as much as possible to avoid being targeted. Repeat this process until the fight is over.
