Pokémon Legends: Arceus allows players to encounter and catch Pokémon roaming freely through the Hisui region, and Drifblim is one of the Pokémon trainers will spot frequently when exploring at night. Known as the Blimp Pokémon, Drifblim was originally introduced in Pokémon Diamond & Pearl and is apparently strong enough to lift people and other Pokémon despite it’s balloon-like appearance. Unlike many previous games in the series that required players to evolve Drifloon to add a Drifblim to their team, Legends: Arceus makes it easy for players to encounter and catch a Drifblim in the wild as they journey through Hisui to seek all Pokémon.

Drifblim can be caught in most of the areas of the Hisui region in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, and this common Pokémon is easy to encounter after dark. Like most Ghost-Type Pokémon in the game, Drifblim only appears at night, and trainers can rest at a base camp until nightfall to find it in the wild. Drifblim can be caught around the Sandgem Flats and Ramanas Island areas of the Obsidian Fieldlands, as well as the Heart’s Crag, Avalugg’s Legacy, and Glacier Terrace areas of the Alabaster Icelands.

However, Drifblim appears most frequently in the Cobalt Coastlands region of Pokémon Legends: Arceus, and trainers can find it at Ginkgo Landing, Bather’s Lagoon, Deadwood Haunt, and Tranquility Cove. Drifblim spawns both on land and over the water in this area, so players will be able to encounter it while surfing on Basculegion. Additionally, trainers have a chance to encounter a Drifblim inside the Space-Time Distortions that appear in the Crimson Mirelands, though they’ll be about the same level as the Drifblim that spawn in the Obsidian Fieldlands and Cobalt Coastlands.

How To Catch Drifblim In Pokémon Legends: Arceus

Drifblim is a Ghost/Flying-Type Pokémon, which makes it resistant to Grass, Bug, and Poison-Types and immune to Normal, Fighting, and Ground-Type moves. However, Driflbim is weak against Electric, Rock, Ghost, Dark, and Ice-Type attacks, and players can use Pokémon Legends: Arceus’ Strong Style and Agile Style moves to strategically lower its health enough to capture it by battling. Trainers can avoid a battle altogether and capture Drifblim by sneaking up on it and throwing a Poké Ball without being spotted, but since Drifblim has an aggressive disposition, it’ll attack the trainer if it sees them.

Pokémon Legends: Arceus players can also add a Drifblim to their party by evolving one from Drifloon, which can be found in several areas of the Hisui region. Like Drifblim, Drifloon can only be caught at night, and trainers will be able to spot this Ghost-Type Pokémon in the Obsidian Fieldlands, Cobalt Coastlands, and Alabaster Icelands once the sun goes down. Drifloon can evolve once it reaches level 28, and trainers will be prompted to activate its evolution in the Satchel menu once it’s evolution requirement has been met. Drifblim is common enough for players to find in the wild without too much trouble, but evolving one from a Drifloon will raise Drifloon’s Research Level in the Hisui Pokédex.

Pokémon Legends: Arceus is available on Nintendo Switch.
