Scizor is a Pokemon that originates from the Johto region and makes an appearance in Pokemon Sword & Shield. This guide will help players locate and capture Scizor. The Isle of Armor DLC is the first paid DLC to ever release for the Pokemon series. Pokemon Sword & Shield has introduced its own changes to the series, including a new wild area where Pokemon naturally spawn in their own habitats. With the Isle of Armor, the wild area has expanded so massively that it almost feels like a completely different game. New terrains, more cohesive Pokemon spawns, and items in every hidden corner make exploring the Isle of Armor all the more exciting. Scizor is a Pokemon that can be found in the Isle of Armor so this guide will help players find and capture it.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY

Scizor is the evolved form of Scyther, one of Pokemon Red and Blue’s most popular Pokemon. Scyther is a giant bug mantis that has blades for hands and was a part of the first 151 Pokemon. When the second generation came around with Pokemon Gold and Silver, new evolutions to older Pokemon were created and thus, Scyther can now evolve into Scizor. Scizor is not only an incredibly cool looking Pokemon but also very powerful and put strong Bug-type Pokemon on the map. Here’s where players can find their own Scizor in Pokemon Sword & Shield.

Where To Find Scizor in Pokemon Sword & Shield

In order to find Scizor, players will first need to find Scyther. Scyther is only available if the player has the Pokemon Sword & Shield expansion pass. If not, the player will need to trade with a trainer that owns one or bring one over from Pokemon Home. To find Scyther, players will need to head over to the Training Lowlands on the Isle of Armor. It has a 5% chance of appearing in the overworld during any type of weather.

To evolve Scyther into a Scizor, the player will need to give the Scyther a Metal Coat. After giving it the Metal Coat, the player then needs to trade with a trusted friend. After the trade, the Scyther will evolve into a Scizor. Make sure to trade back and the Scizor is officially yours.

Pokemon Sword & Shield is scheduled to release the Crown Tundra, the second half of the expansion pass, later this Fall. This will include new locations, over 100 older Pokemon, and new legendary Pokemon to capture. This marks the first time in series history where a mainline title has received paid content. This is likely the formula the Pokemon series will use moving forward to release new content for older games. Pokemon Sword & Shield is one of the better Pokemon games on the Nintendo Switch.
