Snivy is one of the Pokemon players will need to catch to complete the Unova Collection challenge in Pokemon Go. This guide will show players how to find it. Pokemon Go is celebrating its 5th anniversary this year as well as the 25th anniversary of the Pokemon series as a whole. This multi-billion dollar franchise changed the world when it launched back in 1996 and continues to influence the lives of young and old players alike. To celebrate, Pokemon Go will be hosting collection challenges throughout the year. The first one to happen in January 2021 is the Unova Collection Challenge. This guide will show players how they can find Snivy to complete this challenge.

The Unova Collection Challenge is only happening until this upcoming Sunday. During this time, players will need to capture 9 Pokemon from the Unova region. This includes all of the starter Pokemon, Lillipup, Herdier, Ferroseed, and more. Players will be rewarded with Stardust, Pokeballs, Rare Candy, and an exclusive collection medal for completing this challenge. Players also need to capture the Pokemon. Hatching them from eggs or receiving them from trade does not count towards the challenge. Here’s what players can do to increase their chances of running into a Shiny.

How To Find (& Catch) Snivy in Pokemon Go (Unova Collection)

The best way to get Snivy to spawn for this challenge is by activating an Incense and being near a PokeStop with a Lure attached to it. Using a Mossy Lure might help more Grass-type Pokemon to spawn. Although, Unova Pokemon already have their spawns increased to assist players with this event. The best thing players can do is be patient and wait until Snivy appears. By doing this method, 5-10 Snivy’s spawned out in the wild within the hour time-limit. Make sure to use those PokeCoins to pick up those items before it’s too late.

Also, try not to wait too long. Towards the end of the event, the spawn rates of the Unova Pokemon will return back to normal, making it harder to find them. Fortunately, the starter Pokemon spawn much easier than some of the other Pokemon in this challenge. While the Stardust and other items players get for completing this challenge might not be worth it, the medal alone rewards players for their dedication. There will be more collections of events happening throughout the rest of the year. This is a great chance to stay on top of all the Pokemon Go events.
