To gain access to Ginger Island, the player will need to help Willy the Fishermen repair his boat. The player will first need to have version 1.5 of the game. This update is currently only available for players on PC but it will make its way to other platforms in 2021. Head down to the Fishing Shop on the docks to the south of Pelican Town. Here, Willy will provide a list of products to collect. An experienced player should have all the resources readily available for Willy. Willy will then transport the player to Ginger Island the next following morning. This guide will show where players can find the Banana Shrine once they land on Ginger Island.

Where To Find (& Complete) The Banana Shrine in Stardew Valley

Players will be able to find the Banana Shrine in the Jungle area of Ginger Island. The shrine itself can be found next to Leo’s House. When the player first approaches this location, nothing will happen. The player will need to bring a banana as an offering. There are currently two different ways players can get a banana in the game.

  • After building the trading hut, the player can purchase a banana from the vendor.
  • Golden Coconuts have the chance of dropping a banana.

Once the player has the banana, head back to the Banana Shrine and place it as an offering. The two torches will light up and the player will be given 3 Golden Walnuts for the banana. The Banana Shrine is now complete. This is the perfect time to jump back into the game. This update is fairly substantial and will likely bring in tons of new players as well. This is one of the best life-sims to release in the last decade.

Stardew Valley is available now on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, iOS, and Android.
