Destiny 2: Season of the Splicer’s story has nearly concluded. Players await the epilogue for the season’s Path of the Splicer storyline, where they teamed up with Mithrax and the Fallen refugees to put a stop to the Endless Night that plagued the Last City. In the meantime, the celebration of Quria’s end is at hand with the Solstice of Heroes in-game event that will last until Aug. 4.

Awarded to every player who participates in the Solstice of Heroes are Celestine Armor and the Compass Rose shotgun, a new precision frame shotgun introduced in this year’s event. Players have to complete certain challenges for each piece of armor in order to upgrade the armor from Rare to Legendary and unlock their usage in the new Transmog system. Additionally, players can earn Solstice Key Fragments to Solstice Packages. This guide will cover every way to find and farm Solstice Key Fragments in Destiny 2.

How to Find (& Farm) Solstice Key Fragments in Destiny 2

Unlocking Solstice Packages rewards players with various rewards such as weapons, armor, crafting materials, Glimmer, Upgrade Modules, and Enhancement Cores. Opening Solstice Packages requires players to have 15 Soltice Key Fragments. Here are all the ways players can find and farm Solstice Key Fragments in Destiny 2:

  • Completing playlist activities in Vanguard, Gambit, or Crucible (Yields 12 Soltice Key Fragments)
  • Completing Override (Yields 13 Soltice Key Fragments)
  • Completing Expunge (Yields 12 Soltice Key Fragments)
  • Completing Battlegrounds (Yields 10 Soltice Key Fragments)
  • Completing Public Events (Yields 5 Soltice Key Fragments)
  • Completing Altars of Sorrow or Blind Wells (Yields 5 Soltice Key Fragments per Tier)
  • Bounties from Eva Levante in the Tower (Yields 5 Solstice Key Fragments per bounty)
  • Completing Dungeons or Raids (Yields 12 Soltice Key Fragments)
  • Opening Chests in the Soltice Quest European Aerial Zone (Yields 1 or 2 Soltice Key Fragment per chest)
  • Completing Nightmare Hunts (Yields 10 Soltice Key Fragments for defeating the Nightmare and 3 for completing the mission)

With the exception of patrols and vendor-specific bounties, players can earn Soltice Key Fragments by completing any of the many activities available in Destiny 2. The quickest way to earn Solstice Key Fragments is by completing the Expunge: Tartarus mission, the same mission that has a Season of the Splicer Week 5 Challenge where players must complete the mission in under six minutes. Expunge: Tartarus can be completed as many times as players desire, and even without Splicer Gauntlet mods players can still complete this mission in about seven or eight minutes on average.

Destiny 2 is available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S, and Google Stadia platforms.
