How to Find (& Kill) Mamutito in Far Cry 6

There are five mythical animals in Far Cry 6, including Mamutito the hog, that players can find and defeat. Along with mythical creatures, Far Cry 6 has a variety of collectibles like the Criptograma chests, mythical animal trophies, and roosters that are used in cockfighting. Collectibles offer players diverse rewards, including exclusive gear sets. The Primal set can be obtained by hunting down all five mythical animals.

Far Cry 6 has many different animals for Dani to interact with or defeat. Mamutito is a mythical hog, and players can fight this beast early in the game, as it is located on the starting island. At the northern tip of Isla Santuario, Mamutito will be waiting to engage Dani in battle. The hog is the easiest of the mythical animals to defeat, but it will still put up a good fight, especially for players looking to take on the beast right away.

Mamutito can be defeated before or after beating Far Cry 6, but it’s beneficial to take it out early on. The level of challenge in the fight with Mamutito will depend on the game’s overall difficulty setting and the player’s level. Fighting the mythical hog right away can be tough, and its difficulty can depend on the weapons players have available. There will also be other boars in the area that will attack Dani at every opportunity. Players can strategically position themselves on ridges to avoid their attacks and use weapons with longer range to fight Mamutito.

How to Kill Mamutito in Far Cry 6

Although Mamutito can be defeated more easily than the other mythical animals, it still poses a threat to Dani. Mamutito will charge players and strike with its tusks. Dani will need to dodge its attacks and shoot it whenever possible to take it out quickly. Using one of Far Cry 6‘s best starting weapons while avoiding the other enemies in the area will ensure Dani’s victory.

Once Mamutito is defeated, Dani should collect the tusks and bring them to the Hunting Lodge to exchange them for the Primal Mask. With the Primal Mask equipped, Dani will automatically tag nearby animals. This can be useful for general hunting or to track down the other mythical animals and complete the Primal set. Each piece will enhance Dani’s hunting abilities. For example, the Primal Vest will allow players to get closer to animals without causing aggression, and the Primal Bracers will grant more meat per kill. Mamutito is the first available mythical animal, so taking it down will help Dani find the others.

Defeating Mamutito is also part of the Ultimate Predator achievement/trophy. Fighting all five of the mythical animals will grant players the Ultimate Predator award, and turning in their trophies will grant every piece of the Primal gear set.
