Umbrella Operatives and Racoon City Police have been solving puzzles since the original Resident Evil. WhileResident Evil: Biohazard strays from the iconic over-the-shoulder perspective, it maintains its roots as a puzzle-solving undead-killing masterpiece. Biohazard will keep the player’s heart pumping with every encounter as it is the most terrifying Resident Evil game to date.

We’ll see how its fear-factor holds up against Resident Evil: Village, the 8th upcoming game in the franchise set to release May 7th of 2021. Players looking for a more classic Resident Evil experience may be interested in the remakes of Resident Evil 2 & 3 fully optimized for modern computers and last-gen systems. Each game holds to its puzzle-solving mechanics. Players will need to find a pair of red and blue keycards during their stay in the Baker home. Here’s where to find them in Resident Evil: Biohazard.

Resident Evil: Biohazard – Where to Find the Red & Blue Keycards

While below the Bake home, players will be prompted to find a pair of key cards to ‘join the party.’ As much as Ethan doesn’t want to go to this party, he has to. This is proving to be the worst night of Ethan’s life. Players will have to fight back up to the Baker house’s main levels to begin searching. They’ll be attacked by molded enemies and can either fight them off with fire and high-powered weapons or evade them as best as possible. Thankfully, they move at a snail’s pace. If players can avoid fighting them, they should conserve ammo for when they need it.

The Blue Keycard can be found in the Kid’s Room on the 2nd floor of the baker house. Players will find a lamp they’ll be able to inspect. Look under the lampshade to reveal a button. Pressing it will drop a ladder down right in front of Ethan. Head up the ladder and solve the shadow puzzle on the wall. Players have done this multiple times already. It’s the puzzle that requires Ethan to manipulate an object and match its shadow to the image on the wall. Doing so will pop open a dollhouse. Inside the dollhouse is the Blue Keycard.

To begin the Red Keycard search, players will want to head down into the Main Hall and look at the time on the clock. In the video below, YouTuber Yourboyrecon has 10:15 on his. The time may be different for individual playthroughs of the game. From there, head to the Master Bedroom and interact with the clock on the nightstand. Set the time on that clock to whatever the time was on the clock in the Main Hall. When done correctly, the bed will slide over, and a trap door will be revealed.

This trap door leads down to a secret room in the Workshop, previously inaccessible because of a locked door. Head through that door and grab the Red Keycard off the table. Now that players have both cards, they can head back out to the Yard and insert them in their appropriate slots to continue to the next stage of the game.

Resident Evil: Biohazard set a new bar for Resident Evil games, one that Resident Evil: Village will hopefully meet. From its latest trailers, fans can expect Village to go above and beyond Biohazard. Capcom and the Resident Evil series have always been able to deliver incredible games. Fans of Biohazard will be happy to hear it will be receiving a PlayStation 5 & Xbox Series X/S upgrade.
