Shrinking people down to the size of an insect, Grounded is a game that places players in their own backyard as they deal with a world full of giant bugs, edible fungi and creative construction. As with several other games, Grounded has a variety of armor sets for players to craft and find throughout the world.

One of these sets is the Rotten Bee Armor. It has a relatively high defense and has a set bonus that increases the player’s sprint distance. The armor set consists of three parts and can be found to the far west of the player’s starting location.

Prepare to Explore The Anthill in Grounded

The Rotten Bee Armor set is found within an ant mound. With that area being filled with soldier ants and worker ants alike, it is recommended that players take some time to craft themselves some ant armor since it will make the colony believe that the player is one of their own. That means so long as the player avoids hitting ants, they can more or less move around the anthill as they please.

The anthill itself is located to the far west and its entrance takes the form of a hole in the ground. Odds are exploring it is going to take a long time, so the player will likely need to stock up on food and clean water to ensure their survival needs are met. But arguably the most important thing to bring are several torches. The tunnels are incredibly dark so the player is going to need a light source.

Where to Find the Rotten Bee Armor in Grounded

The armor set is not found in one place. Instead, it is separated into three pieces: a face mask, shoulder guards, and shin guards. Each can be found at a different location inside the ant colony. Thankfully they tend to stand out since they are all found near what looks like human remains. Apparently the player was not among the first to be shrunken down. Just keep an eye out for skeleton pieces.

But first, the headpiece. When entering the tunnels try to keep to the right. Pass by a few crossroads while staying to the right side and eventually, the player will find a room with a ledge in it. Under that ledge should be the Rotten Bee Face Mask.

Return to the tunnels again and continue going right. Eventually, the player will find a room with a giant hole in it. Avoid the hole and instead proceed to the back of the room. The Rotten Bee Shin Guards should be in the area.

With the shin guards in hand, the player can now jump in the hole that they just avoided. Once the player has descended into the pit, search the area. The Rotten Bee Shoulder Guards should be down there somewhere. Once the shoulder guards are collected, the player can now consider themselves the proud owner of a complete set of Rotten Bee Armor. Feel free to explore the area a bit more or just leave the ant mound entirely.

Grounded is available on Xbox One and PCs as an early access game.
