In the world of Monster Hunter Rise, nothing is more important than being completely prepared to bring down the dozens of monsters that players will come across. In order to do this players will need to get their hands on the many different items, pieces of equipment, and weapons that are needed to hunt down and kill monsters in the game. The most important aspect though is definitely having the right weapons for the job.

No matter how strong and great a player’s weapons are though doesn’t really matter if they don’t know how to use them. With 14 weapon types that all handle completely differently, players are more than likely going to have issues deciding what weapon is their favorite if they haven’t played a Monster Hunter game before. The way to fix this is to find a safe area to test these weapons out and do some training. This guide shows players how to find the Training Room and how to use it.

Monster Hunter Rise: How to Find and Use the Training Room

Monster Hunter Rise doesn’t actually do a great job of showing players where the Training Room is or how to access it. What players will want to do is first open up their map and find the “Buddy Plaza” location on there. They can then fast travel to this location and then turn left from the item box and walk into the large open plaza. After this, the player will want to head towards the small boat in between the two statues to the right of the larger boat ahead of them. Once here they will be given a prompt that says “Move”, which they can press to travel to the training area.

Once inside the player can begin testing out their weapons however they wish. There will be an item box inside that will allow them to switch between all 14 base weapons whenever they want and give them free rein to experiment as they see fit. The upside to the Training Room is that whenever they are holding a weapon here a list of all of the combos and moves they are able to do with that weapon will appear on screen. This gives players an opportunity to see what every weapon in the game is capable of.

Monster Hunter Rise can be played on Nintendo Switch.
