There are only a few days left until Thor makes his way into Fortnite, but until then, players can find his iconic hammer, Mjölnir, abandoned on Battle Island. One of the panels from the Thor x Fortnite comic that has appeared in-game shows Thor losing his hammer on the island, and gives some clues as to where players can find it.

The comic appeared in-game on August 21 and tells the tale of how Thor and Galactus are making their way to Fortnite. Thor, now the herald of Galactus, is helping Galactus find planets to consume to gain power. But now, Thor has landed on Battle Island to warn its inhabitants of Galactus’ arrival. However, Thor not only loses his hammer when he arrives but also his memory. While players can’t help Thor remember why he landed on the island, they can find his hammer. Here is how to find Thor’s hammer in Fortnite.

Thor’s Hammer Location in Fortnite

Thor’s hammer is located south of Salty Springs in a crater as pictured above. There is also a small house located to the west of the crater where players can land and gear up. Players will want to have a weapon when visiting the hammer as there will be a few other players nearby. Even if they are not visiting the hammer, Salty Springs is a hot drop so there will be other players within the vicinity of the hammer.

Sadly, there is no use for Thor’s hammer, yet. There aren’t any missions attached to discovering the hammer and players cannot interact with it in any way. The hammer can’t be damaged or destroyed, but it is nice to look at.

There will likely be some use for the hammer in the coming days as the Thor and Galactus event is planned to take place on August 27. Galactus is heading to The Island to consume the world, and it is up to Thor to stop him. Thor will need his hammer in order to stop The Island’s imminent destruction, so maybe players should stand close by during the event. Or maybe, like the prior Thanos event, players can seize the hammer and take control of Thor’s powers. None the less, the hammer can be visited and gawked at by players, but that is about all there is to the hammer at this moment.
