No Man’s Sky is a survival game in which players will have to gather resources, fight enemies, and discover flora and fauna across the procedurally generated open world. Equipment is an important factor in No Man’s Sky, and players will need to continuously upgrade and unlock new equipment.

Atlas passes can be used to unlock doors or items. There are three types of atlas passes v1, v2, and v3. To get an atlas pass, players will need to find a blueprint for each individual pass, and then the required materials to craft each one.

Where to Find Atlas Passes in No Man’s Sky

The first Atlas Pass will be relatively easy to obtain, as players will have to find it as part of the main story. In the first Space Anomaly that players encounter, they should meet a Gek alien named Polo. The Space Anomaly should be in the third system they enter. Polo will give the player a quest and a reward, and once the quest is finished the player should return to him. He will give the player a technology blueprint as well as another reward. This process can be repeated until the player is rewarded with the Atlas Pass v1 blueprint. It can be crafted using 80 Copper, and a Microprocessor that can be purchased from vendors.

The second and third Atlas Passes are more difficult to find. Players will need to scour Manufacturing Facilities on various planets to find the blueprints. Using a Signal Booster, players can Locate Nearby Structures or Input Data. If a Manufacturing Facility is nearby, it will be revealed by Locate Nearby Structures, and Input Data can be used to select “Scan Secure Frequencies” and detect Manufacturing Facilities or Supply Depots. Then, the door to the Manufacturing Facility can be open using a Boltcaster. Interact with the console inside and choose the right answer to receive a reward. If the player is lucky, they will receive a blueprint for the Atlas Pass v2 or v3.
