Players can obtain both Strike Styles for Urshifu in the Pokemon: Isle of Armor DLC. This guide will help players get both the Single Strike and Rapid Strike Urshifu in a single save file without needing to trade. Kubfu is the newest Pokemon introduced in the Galar region through the Pokemon Sword & Shield expansion pass. The Isle of Armor features new story content for the player to explore, regardless of completing the Pokemon League or not. This marks the first time in the series where a mainline title has received paid DLC. This guide will help players get both Single Strike Urshifu and Rapid Strike Urshifu on a single save file.

In the Pokemon: Isle of Armor DLC, the player has to choose one of two towers to explore with Kubfu. Once the player gets Kubfu, they will spend their time together, building the bond between the trainer and the Pokemon. Once Kubfu is finally ready to take on the challenge, the player will have to choose between the Tower of Darkness of the Tower of Waters. Depending on with tower the player selects will determine what form Kubfu will take when it evolves. Although, the player can only choose one. Once the player starts the challenge at one tower, the other tower will permanently be closed off to the player. Although, there is a method to get both Urshifu forms without having to trade with a friend. Here’s how players can get both Urshifu forms.

How To Get Both Single Strike and Rapid Strike Urshifu in Pokemon: Isle of Armor DLC

To do this, the player will need a Pokemon Home account. The player does not need a paid subscription to make this possible. For starters, complete the challenge and obtain the first form of Urshifu of your choice. Now, create a second profile on the Nintendo Switch and begin Pokemon Sword & Shield. Through this new profile, the player will be able to start a new game. The neat part about the DLC is that it carries over between profiles as long as they are on the same console. Play up to Wedgehurst and take the train into the Isle of Armor. Complete the trials, obtain Kubfu, bond with it, then select the tower opposite of the one you selected for your main profile. Complete the tower and send the second Urshifu to the PC. Boot up Pokemon Home and bring it over to the cloud. Boot up the main profile next, and bring the second Urshifu over to the main profile. The player now has both Single and Rapid strike Urshifu’s in one account without needing to trade or pay money.

This method can be time-consuming but is much more effective than having to rely on another trainer to get the opposite strike form as you. Also, players can just button mash to get through most of the early game. The game also scales the Pokemon depending on if the player has defeated the Pokemon League or not. Considering the second profile will essentially be an Isle of Armor speedrun, all the Pokemon will be lower levels. The second part of the Pokemon Sword & Shield expansion pass will be available later this Fall.
