Anyone who has played Cyberpunk 2o77 knows that the game is chock full of strange and interesting quest lines to complete. It seems like no matter where the player goes there is always someone who needs something done or wants V to help them find something. While some of the quests are goofy and fun to play though, others are much more disturbing and harder to stomach.

Without a doubt, one of the more intense and messed up missions in the game is The Hunt. This is one of the quests that players will need to complete if they want to romance the NPC River Ward, and it involves helping him track down his missing nephew. In order to find his nephew though players will first need to find the location of a shady character named Harris. This guide shows players how to track down Harris’ IP address.

Cyberpunk 2077 – How to Get Harris’ IP Address

During the course of V and River’s investigation, they eventually come across a laptop belonging to his nephew Randy. It seems that Randy was emailing a man named Harris repeatedly and it quickly comes out that Harris is the one who kidnapped Randy. River then asks V to see if they can get Harris’ IP address from the files. Players will need to have an intelligence level of 12 in order to hack into the emails and discover the address. If they do not have a high enough level then V will tell River that it is too complicated for them.

If the player manages to snag the IP address by doing this then River will say that this places Harris’ location somewhere on the outskirts of Night City, but they still won’t have an exact location to pin down. Either way, the player will then have to continue the investigation by examining some braindances later on. By gaining clues from the braindances players are then able to pinpoint the exact place that Harris is holding Randy at, so ultimately the IP address winds up being fairly useless. It is a pretty good way to practice hacking though and gives the player the opportunity to look cool in front of a potential romantic partner.
