Learn how to get Hero cards in FIFA 22 and how they work. Ultimate Team is a defining feature of FIFA games, and year after year something new is included to bring a more exciting experience to the mode than prior years. FIFA 22 brings the inclusion of the Hero cards, which will play a key role in how players develop their FIFA Ultimate Team.

Hero cards are items that represent players who never made it to Icon status. A defining moment in the actual player’s career solidified their fan base throughout the world or a large amount people in a particular area, and so these players have been brought to FIFA Ultimate Team as Heroes. Unlike the four different cards that are tied to Icons, there is only one version of each of the Hero cards.

Hero cards in FIFA 22 have player ratings score 85 overall, and higher. Functionally, Hero cards behave similarly to Icons in that they have chemistry boosts with other players. The main difference is that Hero cards also come with the league that the player was a part of, and so chemistry boosts will apply to other players from that league. For example, Deigo Milito played in the Series A League and will give a chemistry boost to any player from that league – not just the team he played for.

FIFA 22: How To Get Hero Cards

FIFA 22’s Hero cards can be acquired from packs, along with standard cards and Icons. There is a chance that a Hero card can be earned every time a new pack is opened. Using the revived FIFA feature to preview packs will help players figure out what the Gold Pack contains before they buy one, but they can only preview one pack a day.

The FUT Heroes league-specific chemistry is tied to their specific “hero moment.” This is what gives the Heroes a green Club link to any player within the same league as well as the usual nation link, giving players new ways to build their FUT in FIFA 22. While more Hero cards will come down the line, these are all the available Hero cards in FIFA 22:
