Throughout the world of Genshin Impact players have a vast array of different missions to complete. Many of these missions will be able to be completed as part of the game’s story line or even as side missions throughout the world. Almost all of these missions can be completed at any point in time as long as players have a high enough Adventure Rank or strong enough characters.

This isn’t always the case though because some missions and activities require players to have Original Resin. This is a resource that is only used for specific mission types, and once players run out of it they will not be able to complete these missions anymore. This makes Original Resin an extremely precious resource that players will want to hold onto at all costs. This guide will show players how to use Original Resin and how to acquire more of it.

Genshin Impact: How to Use Original Resin

First things first in order to start using Original Resin, players will need to wait until they are at Adventure Rank 8. This gives them access to this resource and will allow them to start playing missions that use it. Players will begin with 120 Original Resin, which is the most amount that they can have at any time.

One of the best ways to use Original Resin is to access Leyline Outcrop missions. Players will be able to see these throughout the world, and they can be a great way to obtain other resources in Genshin Impact. The majority of the time these missions will give players EXP boosting materials that can either allow them to gain levels on characters or weapons. This is also a good way to boost the Adventure Rank.

The other main way that Original Resin is by playing Domain missions. The only way that players can collect the rewards from these missions is by using Original Resin. By completing these missions players will be able to acquire ascension materials for their weapons and characters.

Genshin Impact: How to Regain Original Resin

The downside to Original Resin is that it is not something that players will be able to find out in the world like other resources. The main way to acquire Original Resin is by just allowing it to regain over time. Every eight minutes players will reacquire one Original Resin, so that means in order to regain all 120 pieces of Original Resin players will have to wait 16 hours.

Players can also regain Original Resin by spending Primogen to regain up to 60 points at a time up to a maximum of 120. Players are only able to do this six times a day, and each time they do it this costs more Primogen every time. Unless players are desperate they should always try to let Original Resin regenerate on its own rather than wasting precious Primogen.
