Divinity: Original Sin 2 features multiple armor sets, including the five-piece Contamination Armor set. Each of the armor pieces give players various stat buffs, armor buffs, resistances, and other benefits. Other armor in the game, like the Devourer Armor, offer marksman capabilities. The Contamination Armor set is based around poison resistance and other poison-related effects.

In order to assemble and equip the Contamination Armor set, players must first find all the different armor pieces. There are five separate pieces in the Contamination Armor set: The Boots of Contamination, the Greaves of Contamination, the Gauntlets of Contamination, the Cuirass of Contamination, and the Helm of Contamination. Luckily, players do not need any sort of Divinity: Original Sin 2 beginner’s guide to find and equip the armor pieces.

When all the armor pieces are assembled and equipped, players receive a complete armor set bonus called Rooting Corruption. Rooting Corruption gives players an extra 75% poison resistance while also making the character bleed poison. In addition, once per turn, the character with Contamination Armor equipped can launch a poisonous projectile as a counterattack in the direction they are facing.

Finding And Assembling The Contamination Armor Set In Divinity: Original Sin 2

Players must start the quest “Seed of Power” to begin collecting the pieces of Contamination Armor. The party should travel to Fort Joy near the coast. There is a shipwreck on the beach containing magisters and an elf, Daeyana, who is locked in a combat situation. Daeyana has the Boots and Greaves of Contamination with her. Players can help Daeyana kill the magisters and get an elf to eat one of the magister corpses to learn the essential ability Trigger Spores.

When they reconvene with Daeyana later along Reaper’s Coast, Daeyana teaches players to use Trigger Spores to make the Gauntlets of Contamination. Players can now kill Daeyana to get the first three pieces of the Contamination Armor.

Next, players must head to the hill overlooking the Blackpits to find a magister who has the Cuirass of Contamination. Players can either steal the cuirass or fight the magister to loot the Cuirass of Contamination from his corpse. Near Reimond’s Abode, there is a trapdoor hidden in the bushes that leads to a research laboratory. After players defeat the enemies inside, they can loot the Helm of Contamination.

Once players have all five pieces of the Contamination Armor set, they can combine them together to equip the complete Contamination Armor in Divinity: Original Sin 2. While it isn’t technically the strongest armor in the game, players with Contamination Armor equipped can have an easier time trying to beat Divinity: Original Sin 2.

Divinity: Original Sin 2 is available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, iOS, PC, and macOS.
