The Hope Storage Chest in New World is a highly sought-after Tier III furniture item that provides 400 Settlement Storage when placed in a player’s home. The chest is especially rare because it can only be crafted by obtaining a Starmetal-Braced Storage Chest Schematic. This particular blueprint is an Uncommon loot drop that spawns randomly in supply chests, crates, or stockpiles. Due to the item’s rarity in New World, players have been selling the Schematic for lucrative amounts of gold at Trading Posts.

Some players have been able to find the Starmetal-Braced Storage Chest Schematic for the Hope Storage Chest in lower-level zones like Monarch’s Bluffs. However, a good idea would be to loot Tier II – III supply chests in leveled areas where the blueprint would likely be found. Such regions include Cutlass Keys, Brightwood, Ebonscale Reach, Weaver’s Fen, or other territories to the north. As for wealthy adventurers with sufficient gold, it would be better to simply buy the Schematic from the player market.

After obtaining the required Schematic through trading or loot-grinding in New World, players will now be able to craft the Hope Storage Chest — once three requirements are met. First, players will need access to a Tier IV Workshop. Workshops and other crafting stations in New World settlements are upgraded as players complete various quests on the Town Projects board. The second requirement is that the player making the chest must have a Furnishing skill level of 145. Furnishing isn’t too difficult to level; however, those who are adept in other skills such as Harvesting, Leatherworking, or Smelting will be able to quickly progress as they can procure the resources needed for crafting Furnishing items.

Crafting Hope Storage Chest in New World

The final prerequisite for making the Hope Storage Chest are the Tier IV crafting materials. To build the chest in NewWorld, players need the following crafting resources:

  • Wyrdwood Planks x 30
  • Starmetal Ingot x 15
  • Oak Stain x 1
  • Greater Rune of Holding x 1

Wyrdwood Plank is a Tier IV resource that requires a Woodshop of the same tier. Players with a Woodworking Level of 100 can make the planks with the materials below.

  • Wyrdwood x 6
  • Lumber x 2
  • Coarse Sandpaper x 1

Similar to Wyrdwood Planks, a Smelting Level of 100 is required to smelt Starmetal Ingots, along with the following resources:

  • 6x Starmetal Ore
  • 2x Steel Ingot
  • 1x Sand Flux
  • 2x Charcoal

Oak Stain is a rare crafting component that needs a Furnishing Level of 100 plus these ingredients:

  • Oil x 4
  • Potent Solvent x 10

Finally, the most expensive item needed for the Hope Storage Chest is the Greater Rune of Holding, which can be purchased from one’s faction vendor with 1,000 gold and 5,000 faction tokens in New World.

New World is available on PC via Steam.
