Season of the Chosen kicked off in Destiny 2 on February 9, 2021, and with it came a new social area, new weapons and armor, an additional playlist activity, and the inclusion of three new Stasis Aspects (one for each class). Unlike the previous Aspects that were implemented in Season of the Worthy, the new ones are much easier and quicker to unlock. After working their way through the season’s introductory mission and witnessing some new cinematic content, Guardians can begin their journey to obtaining the new Aspects for each Stasis subclass.

As is tradition with each Destiny 2 milestone, Season of the Chosen mandates more grinding from players, requiring them to tackle many playlist activities, bounties, and other objectives to get the most out of the new content. Like Season of the Hunt, Season of the Chosen adds a quest item players must socket and enhance to progress through new quests and earn rewards unique to the season. While collecting these new rewards, Guardians put the new Stasis Aspects to good use.

How to Get the New Stasis Aspects in Destiny 2

To get the new Stasis Aspects in Destiny 2 Season of the Chosen, Guardians must first play through the season’s introductory mission. The mission commences as soon as players load into the new season for the first time, where they will watch a cinematic and then engage in a new activity: Battlegrounds. Once they complete the introductory Battleground mission, players can return to orbit.

In orbit, gamers have the option to either go to the H.E.L.M. (the new social area and command center for the Vanguard) to continue the main quest line, or they can travel to Europa and visit the Exo Stranger. The latter option begins the quest to acquire the new Stasis Aspects, called “Aspect of Influence.” Players must complete this mission and they will need the exotic grenade launcher Salvation’s Grip to progress.

“Aspect of Influence” requires players to travel to the Well of Infinitude on Europa. There, Guardians will be prompted to destroy the small floating pyramids with the Salvation’s Grip. Each time players destroy a mini pyramid they will be required to run further inside the Well of Infinitude to destroy a few more. Upon destroying the last one, multiple waves of Vex will spawn and Guardians must take them out.

Once the area is clear, fans must complete the heroic Exo challenge, which suggests reaching a Power level of 1270 before attempting. This week, the challenge is to defend the platform from waves of Vex, with Minotaurs providing a tiny bit of difficulty as Overload champions. Once Guardians succeed in eliminating the final boss, the heroic Exo Challenge will be complete, and gamers can return to the Exo Stranger.

Finally, players must visit the massive pyramid near the Exo Stranger, where they will be teleported into Darkness and acquire the new Stasis Aspect for their class as shown below:

  • Grim Harvest (Hunter) – “Defeating slowed or frozen combatants creates Stasis shards. These shards provide melee energy when picked up by players or their allies.”
  • Howl of the Storm (Titan) – “Use a charged melee ability while sliding to launch Stasis energy. This will freeze targets and create Stasis crystals.”
  • Bleak Watcher (Warlock) – “Holding the grenade button converts a grenade into a Stasis turret that can slow down enemies.”

Destiny 2 is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
