The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild has a Travel Medallion that players can track down and use to create a custom fast travel point. The medallion is part of the Master of Trials DLC and can be found via the “EX Teleportation Rumors!” quest. Completing the quest can be a bit difficult, especially if players haven’t gone through the Lomei Labyrinth yet.

Fast travel points are only available at activated towers and shrines, so it can be hard to get back and forth to certain places if nothing has been discovered there yet. Some Breath of the Wild shrines are hidden or require players to complete difficult puzzles before they are revealed. Having the Travel Medallion will give players more control over their fast travel points.

There are many puzzles, unique items, and difficult shrines in Breath of the Wild. The Travel Medallion offers a bit of a challenge for players that have yet to complete the labyrinth in the northeast corner. To start the medallion quest, players need to travel to South Akkala Stable in the northeast. There will be a book on the table that explains where the Travel Medallion is. Next, players will need to get through Lomei Labyrinth to retrieve their prize.

Obtaining the Travel Medallion in Zelda: Breath of the Wild

The Lomei Labyrinth is in the top right corner of the map. Head towards the labyrinth and paraglide to the entrance. Once inside, go straight back and enter the maze in the far left corner. Make a quick right, then go straight back to find a staircase. From that point, there will be a series of quick turns and staircases that lead to the middle of the labyrinth where the shrine is located. There’s a hole in front of the shrine where an updraft, similar to Breath of the Wild‘s Revali’s Gale, is constantly blowing. Drop into the hole to find the Travel Medallion.

The chest for the medallion is straight back from where Link fell, past the first chest with the torches beside it. Players can also get the Diamond Circlet headpiece here in the first chest. However, once the chest is opened, some of the deactivated guardians lying around will awaken. There are a few options to make it out of the encounter. Link can either run back to the wind-gusted hole, fight the guardians, or fast travel away. The easiest option is to pick a point to fast travel to, but players that want a challenge can stay and fight.

The Travel Medallion can then be used at any spot across Hyrule. Placing the medallion will create a fast travel point at that spot, and it will remain there until the medallion is used again. Only one point can be active at a time. The Travel Medallion has also been repurposed for several glitches, including getting the impossible chest in Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Players continue to find new uses for this item beyond the ability to simply save a fast travel point. Zelda: Breath of the Wild includes a myriad of versatile items and abilities for players to use and expand upon.
