The season of the bounty hunter has come to an end in Fortnite. Season six’s theme is ‘Primal’ made evident by the wild animals now roaming around the new map. Players can also work towards unlocking Lara Croft from the Tomb Raider franchise. With every new season comes new cosmetics, new POIs, a new battle pass, and, of course, new challenges. There’s even talk of a potential dinosaur coming soon.

This week will have players heading to Shark Island in search of anomalies. This is similar to the other challenge that’s bringing players to Lazy Lake. While there’s a lot to unpack in Fortnite Season 6, this guide will focus on how to complete the Shark Island Challenge. Load up Fortnite and drop on in. Fortnite: Investigate an Anomaly Detected on Shark Island

Once the Battle Bus starts flying over the map, hop out and head for Shark Island. Be cautious; Shark Island will probably be contested as players are looking to complete this challenge. Either get it out of the way or land elsewhere and work up to it. However, once nearby, players will want to head to the island’s northern coast. Players will know they’re in the right area when a glowing butterfly appears.

Don’t worry when the butterfly disappears into the ground. Players do not need to follow it. Instead, players will see three holograms of Agent Jones performing different poses. They have to imitate the Jones holograms, a little game of Simon Says or ‘Jones Says’ if you will.

Walk up to the first hologram to find Jones crouching. Crouch in front of it. The next hologram shows Jones dancing. Whether it’s always the Floss Dance or not, we don’t know yet. All players have to do is dance with Jones. They don’t have to do the exact dance he’s doing. The final hologram shows Jones jumping up and down. Get close, and jump in front of it.

Players will know they’ve correctly imitated Agent Jones when they hear an audio cue. Their character will also start to glow. There are reports that players must complete these actions in order—Crouch, Dance, Jump. While this isn’t confirmed, it’s safest to do them in that order.

Finally, after completing all of the above steps, a shard will appear in the center of the three holograms. Players will have to build a single ramp to reach it. The challenge will be completed upon grabbing the shard. Completing the challenge will unlock a new style for Agent Jones.

The Chark Island Challenge isn’t too hard to complete. All players will have to worry about is rivals dropping in on the island with them. Don’t get frustrated if other players keep landing on Shark Island. It’s to be expected with these new week-to-week challenges. This challenge can be completed solo or with a squad of friends.
