Resources and materials are arguably some of the most important aspects of New World. Having the materials necessary for crafting, leveling, and trading in New World keeps players’ progress steady and allows them to maintain a consistent flow of income and experience. The one tricky part of collecting materials is that players often have to move between different settlements to gather different resources or complete quests, and this means that they often have important items stored in various storage sheds around the map.

There are a couple of ways to deal with this. There is the free method of manually running to the various settlements and picking up the necessary materials. Doing so is cost-efficient, but wastes a lot of time. On the other hand, players can also fast travel between settlements to save time, but this costs Azoth, a valuable commodity in New World, which makes it far too costly for many situations.

Luckily, there is a third option, and that is to transfer stored items from other faction-controlled settlements into the player’s inventory. Not only is it easy to do so, but it also doesn’t cost the player too much to do it, relative to the fast-travel method.

How to Move Storage Items Between Settlements in New World

Moving items between settlements in New World is easy, and all it costs is a bit of gold. The only requirement is that both settlements must be controlled by the player’s New World faction. As long as this is the case, moving items between the two is as simple as a couple of clicks.

First, players should go to the storage shed in whatever settlement to which they want to transfer the items. They can open the storage shed and look at the right side of the screen where the shed’s contents are shown. There will be a drop-down menu labeled “Storage Location,” which can be clicked to show a list of faction-controlled settlements.

Players can click the settlement that holds their desired items, and the right side of the screen will now show the contents of the storage shed in that settlement. Once they find the item they want, they can click it and select the “Move” option, which will bring up a “Transfer Item” menu with a simple yes/no prompt, as well as the cost of the transfer. If the cost of the transfer is deemed reasonable, players can click “Yes,” and the target item will be transferred to their inventory, not to the storage shed of the settlement they are in. They can place the item in storage manually after that.
