Entering Seattle in the Last Of Us 2, Ellie and Dina are at a crossroads between Seattle’s buildings and the lush, green surroundings where they’ll find the Gate West 2 safe. The area is not as treacherous out in the open, and that makes finding and unlocking the safe easier than most other safes. It’s also one of the easiest safes to attain in the game, and serves as an introduction to them, of sorts.

Seattle, as opposed to other locations in The Last Of Us 2, has a map to aid Ellie in finding the various locations in the city. Going to different areas in Seattle will allow Ellie to mark on her map where she’s been with the use of question marks primarily. The area Ellie explores has remnants of the damage done from the confrontations against the infected. It also has evidence of factions warring against each other for control of Seattle with craters and military vehicles.  The military installations are intact for the most part, and Gate West 2 is one of them.

Where to Find the Gate West 2 Code in The Last Of Us 2

The Gate West 2 code is straightforward to get as it happens during the story, and no hunting is required. When arriving at Seattle, the gates to enter the city will be out of power. Ellie and Dina will have to work together to get electricity back to the systems to access the gates. There will be a building that has two Humvees in front of a portable style building, and this portable is where the Checkpoint Gate Codes are. Smash the window to get inside and search the desks for a metal cabinet that holds the codes. The list will be on a piece of paper, and the code for Gate West 2 is at the bottom, with it being 04-51.

Where To Find the Gate West 2 Safe in The Last Of Us 2

Open Ellie’s map of Seattle, and look for Madison street that is in the upper left quadrant of the map. Along Madison going Westbound, Ellie will find the Courthouse at the northern corner of 6th, the pet store on the southern intersection, and a workstation at the south end of Madison near 4th street past the record store. Gate West 2 is located on Madison between 4th and 5th street north of the workstation. The gate has a small opening in it that Ellie can shimmy through where she’ll find a military transport truck, and the safe is on the opposite side of the truck up a small flight of stairs. Punch in the code that Ellie picked up from the Checkpoint Gate Codes, and inside, Ellie will find the Flo card for the Master Set Trophy and some extra items as well.
