How to Play the John Cena Role Mod in Among Us

There have been many Among Us mods introducing characters from other popular media in the last few months, and content creators have now begun modding celebrity icons into matches as Impostors. The Among Us John Cena role mod brings wrestler and actor John Cena to The Skeld as an Impostor. Similar to the Drake and DaBaby Role Mods, the John Cena Mod in Among Us introduces new abilities based on the famous fighter’s moves. Unlike some of the other Among Us role mods fans have created in the past, the John Cena role mod includes two mini-games, where crewmates will have to face off against either one another or the Impostor in the ring to determine who will survive.

Though there are plenty of new and creative ways for Impostors to kill crewmates with the Among Us John Cena role mod, it is also still possible for crewmates to win by completing tasks or deducing the identity of the Impostor before time runs out. Still, like other overpowered, pop-culture-inspired Among Us mods, the goal is less about social deduction and competition between crewmates and Impostors, and more about being creative with new abilities and laughing among friends. Here’s how to play the John Cena Role Mod in Among Us.

How to Play as John Cena in Among Us

The Among Us John Cena Role mod was created by Mod Maker Phil for content creator SSundee and his friends and is currently not available for public download. Players may have luck getting into a game that uses this mod by joining a server that has it installed. Players can also always try their hand at programming a version. It is also possible that, given its popularity, other modders will eventually program a version of this mod and make it available for wider use.

When a crewmate is chosen to be the Impostor in Among Us with the John Cena Role mod installed, they will gain new abilities for creative sabotages and kills, including:

• Transform: The Impostor trades the typical crewmate sprite look for a new sprite that looks like John Cena.
• Wrestle-Match: The Impostor selects two crewmates from a menu to send to the wrestling ring. The two crewmates must “fight” by clicking a target that the Impostor moves around. The crewmate who loses the fight dies. The Impostor can also select themselves as a way to craft an alibi.
• Knuckle-wich: John Cena jumps into the air, able to see the whole map, and lands on a selected crewmate, crushing them into the ground and killing them.
• Can’t-See-Me: John Cena can wave his hand in front of his face and disappear, becoming invisible to all crewmates for a time.
• Attitude-Grab: John Cena picks up a crewmate near him at random and takes them into a wrestling match with him. The Impostor as John Cena will select three quadrants of the ring, and the crewmate will choose one. If the crewmate picks a quadrant John Cena picked, the crewmate dies.
• Champ-Belt: John Cena can drop his champion belt from the sky to land on a crewmate, pinning them for a few seconds.

While transformed into John Cena, Impostors have access to all these abilities. While still using the crewmate sprite, they will only have access to Transform, Wrestle-Match, and Champ-Belt. Impostors also still have access to the regular Sabotage and Kill buttons. The best sabotages to use with the John Cena Impostor Role mod include lights, doors, and reactors. Reactors are particularly useful for luring a crewmate into a single location and using Attitude-Grab for a quick kill.

Knuckle-wich is the only John Cena ability to leave a body for crewmates to report. All the others do not leave behind a body. Crewmates should take advantage of their ability to report bodies and use it for better communication and deductive reasoning. This is the preferred way for crewmates to win, as it will be somewhat more difficult to win by completing tasks. John Cena’s abilities can yank crewmates away from tasks in an instant, so it is more beneficial for them to stay with a group, clear one another, and figure out the Impostor’s identity instead.
