The iPhone 13 and 13 Pro are now the latest iPhones available, and in typical Apple fashion, pre-ordering them couldn’t be easier. The lead-up to a new iPhone is always an exciting time. There are the months of rumors/leaks leading up to its announcement, Apple’s big presentation to make everything official, and the hectic launch day when people start getting their hands on the new device.

For 2021, Apple’s created the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Pro as its latest smartphones. The regular iPhone 13 lineup consists of the baseline iPhone 13 and the petite iPhone 13 mini. They’re equipped with an all-new dual-camera system, Apple’s A15 Bionic chipset, brighter displays, and longer battery life. Similar upgrades are present on the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max — though they’re more impressive across the board. This year’s Pro handsets are treated to 120Hz ProMotion screens, macro photography, additional storage, and a whole lot more.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY

For anyone who’s sold on the iPhone 13/13 Pro and ready to buy one for themselves, the good news is that pre-orders kick off on Friday, September 17 at 5:00 AM PDT / 8:00 AM EDT. Anyone can visit the Apple website at this time, add the iPhone 13 to their cart, and check out like normal. Seeing as how demand for the new iPhones is bound to be quite strong, however, it’s a good idea to get that pre-order information ready before September 17 rolls around.

How To Get Your iPhone 13 Pre-Order Ready Before Sept 17

Interested in going this route? Here’s what to do any time before September 17. Visit the Apple website, scroll down, and click ‘View pricing’ for either the iPhone 13 or 13 Pro. Select the preferred model, color, storage capacity, and carrier. After confirming those details and choosing how to pay (either monthly or as a one-time payment), click ‘Get Ready for Pre-Order.’ This takes visitors to a new page with a few final steps to complete. Click ‘Browse iPhone accessories’ to see what’s available. Add any wanted accessories by clicking ‘Add to Bag,’ or skip them entirely and click ‘Continue’ at the top of the screen. From there, click ‘Choose a payment method and review details’ (or ‘Review your information and authorize your Apple Card’ if paying with the Apple Card). Confirm your Apple ID password if asked, fill out the payment and contact info as requested, click ‘Continue’ at the bottom of the page, and that’s it. Once 5:00 AM PDT rolls around on September 17, visit the Apple website, click the bag icon at the top-right of the screen, and you’ll be able to check out in a matter of seconds. For folks who prefer shopping through the iPhone, this whole process works virtually the same on the Apple Store app.

Something else to keep in mind throughout this whole process is the various promotions Apple’s running. While buying a new iPhone is never cheap, Apple does have some good deals this year to dramatically lower the cost of any iPhone 13 model. AT&T offers an iPhone 13 from $2.75/month or an iPhone 13 Pro from $0.00/month with an eligible trade-in and AT&T installment plan. T-Mobile/Sprint customers can get up to $700 in total credits after trading in an eligible device and having a T-Mobile Max data plan. For folks on Verizon, the red-clad carrier offers the iPhone 13 from $4.12/month and the iPhone 13 Pro from $9.96/month (after an eligible trade-in, of course).

If someone would rather not bother with carrier promotions, another option is to trade in a phone directly to Apple and save some cash that way. Apple accepts a wide array of devices at decent prices — such as $790 for an iPhone 12 Pro Max, $450 for an iPhone 11 Pro, and $240 for an iPhone XS. Select Android smartphones are also eligible, including $400 for a Galaxy Note 20 and $315 for a Pixel 5. Regardless of which promotion someone chooses, make sure to follow the steps above and get that pre-order ready ASAP. It takes just a couple of minutes, and it greatly reduces the risk of taking too much time on September 17 only to have your favorite model go out of stock. Good luck!
