Recycling furniture allows players to get bits and pieces in Sims 4. This guide will explain to players how to recycle their furniture. The Sims series is one of the most iconic life simulator titles to ever exist. In this title, players can customize almost every aspect of their fictional lives, including how the character looks, what jobs they go to, what type of house they live in, and what kind of family dynamic they want to create. The neat aspect of Sims is how players can ruin every aspect of this life without any real consequence. This has lead to players going on the deep end and exploring everything the game has to offer without fear. Here’s how players can recycle furniture in the game.

Recycling is a neat feature that allows players to turn unwanted furniture into a material called Bits & Pieces, which can be used to craft other items. This is an excellent method of clearing out clutter and optimizing the player’s inventory. Also, almost every piece of furniture can be recycled. Grinding out weaker or easily spawnable furniture and recycling them is a great way to build up for higher value items. Here’s how players can recycle in Sims 4.

How To Recycle in Sims 4

Every house in the game comes along with a Home Recycler. The Home Recycler is completely free to use and comes along within each of the Community Spaces. To recycle a furniture item, place the item in your home inventory. This can be done from either the overworld or from the player’s personal items inventory. Here, players can select the item to place in the Home Recycler. The player will be rewarded with Bits & Pieces depending on the material of the piece of furniture.

Sims defined what it means to be a life simulator. Titles like Animal Crossing, Stardew Valley, and Harvest Moon all have the Sims series to thank for their existence. The series originally began back in 1989 and continues to sell millions of copies to this day. The game has dozens of specific spinoff titles like MySims or SimAnt, each diving into the same mechanics with more of a specific focus (Ants for SimsAnt). The main numbered titles are the rarer of the series, as a new one gets introduced almost every console generations. These are the titles that introduce game-changing mechanics and more features than any of its predecessors. Considering the length of time between Sims 3 and Sims 4 is 5 years, it is unlikely players will see a Sims 6 anytime soon.
