Cyberpunk 2077, like any reputable open-world RPG, has a branching perk system allowing players to build their character from the ground up. They’ll tailor their journey’s protagonist in a way that best fits their playstyle. Whether it be stealth, firearms, intelligence, or brute strength, there are always handfuls of ways to play any video game. Cyberpunk 2077 is no different.

There are two schools of leveling when it comes to Cyberpunk. Street Cred will govern the different upgrades V will be able to purchase from ripperdocs and other vendors. Base XP will govern V’s overall character level and reward players with skill points and attribute points to spend on perks and buffs. Cyberpunk’s early game can be daunting when it comes to perk selection as players aren’t too sure of how they can best approach playing this ‘new’ game. Eventually, they’ll regret some decisions they’ve previously made or abandon an avenue they thought they’d enjoying going down. Those players are in luck. There is a way to respec perks in Cyberpunk 2077. However, this comes with good news and bad news.

How to Respec Perks in Cyberpunk 2077

The good news is, V can stop by any ripperdoc and purchase the Tabula E-Rasa available via the trade menu. This is not a cyberwar upgrade and works more like a consumable. As soon as V picks up the Tabula, all skill points will be reset and respec-able. Now for the bad news.

The Tabula E-Rasa will cost 100,000 Eurodollars. This is, to put it bluntly, an incredibly hefty price tag. Should players find themselves wanting to respec their character, they’re probably somewhere in the middle of Act II with 15,000 eddies to their name. They probably haven’t gotten their hands on any of the best Cyberware and are most likely driving around some low-end car/motorbike. In other words, there are more valuable/necessary things players will need to be spending their money on. So unless players are looking to grind cash, and there are plenty of ways to do so, they’ll have to live with the perk decisions they’ve made.

To take it a step further, the Tabula E-Rasa will only reset V’s perk points. Skills and Attributes will remain untouched. It would be helpful to know which Attributes V should get first. It can be purchased multiple times, but there isn’t a conceivable method of making/spending upwards of 300-400,ooo Eurodollars for perk respecs.

Hopefully, future updates will lower the price of the Tabula E-Rasa. Cyberpunk could take a page out of Assassin Creed: Valhalla’s book and allow players to respec their character freely. With a handful of post-launch problems, players are hunting for new reasons to take issue with Cyberpunk 2077. There have already been refunds issued to last-gen players upset with the game’s performance on console.
