The Super Mario 3D All-Stars collection is the first time since its initial release that Super Mario Sunshine has been available legally. The collection also comes along with Super Mario 64, the first 3D Mario adventure, and Super Mario Galaxy, Mario’s first 3D adventure out in outer space. Although, the collection is only available for a limited time, as the game will be removed from both the Nintendo eShop and physical stores at the end of March 2021. This is the best way to experience Super Mario Sunshine. Here’s how players can unlock the secret ending to the game.

How To Unlock The Secret Ending in Super Mario Sunshine

To unlock the secret ending, the player needs to collect all 120 Shine Sprites scattered around Isle Delfino. This includes all of the Shines from the levels as well as the ones from the blue coins hidden around each level and in the hub world. Once this is done, head over to Corona Mountain and challenge Bowser again. This time around when Bowser is defeated, the player will be given a slightly different ending. While it might be as substantial to require all of the work of collecting the blue coins, it is still something for all that hard work.

Super Mario Sunshine has been one of the most divisive entries in the series. While players adore the massive levels, music, collect-a-thon, and FLUDD mechanic, many others prefer how Mario controlled in Super Mario 64. Still, fans can enjoy all of these games on the Super Mario 3D All-Stars collection. The game also comes with all of the soundtracks from the original games in a single package. The soundtracks alone could cost about $15 USD each. This is the best way to enjoy some of Mario’s biggest adventures.

Super Mario Sunshine is available now on Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Gamecube.
