Throughout the course of Hades, players are given several different weapons to use in combat. Every single weapon gives players a wealth of different kinds of abilities to use against enemies as well as give them the opportunity to gain new boons from the Gods of Olympus. On top of this, the best thing about having access to these weapons is that players can choose one that best fits their playstyle.

One of the more interesting weapons that players can get during Hades is the Shield of Chaos. This shield can be thrown Captain America style at enemies or used to bludgeon them to death. Additionally, players also are given an ability called Bull Rush that lets them run at enemies with their shield in front of them. The downside though is that this weapon is not unlocked immediately after the game starts. This guide shows players how to get the Shield of Chaos.

Hades: How to Unlock The Shield of Chaos

The Shield of Chaos is a powerful weapon that was once wielded by Zeus himself during the war against the Titans. It is a very strong addition to the player’s inventory so they will want to pick it up as soon as possible. The first thing that players will need to do is play through at least one run of Hades. Once they die they will be able to go to the armory where their second weapon, the bow, has been unlocked. They will also see a third weapon that is shrouded in darkness and locked up. This is the shield and it can only be acquired by players obtaining three Chthonic Keys out in the underworld.

Once players have used the three keys on the shield it will then become theirs to use whenever they wish. Players should keep in mind that this isn’t the only thing they can do with The Shield of Chaos though. Once they have unlocked all of the weapons in the game and acquired one Titan Blood, they will be able to upgrade the shield and change its Aspect. The Shield of Chaos has four aspects for players to choose from: The form that the shield appeared in The Aspect of Zagreus, The Aspect of Chaos, The Aspect of Zeus, and the Aspect of Beowulf. Each of these aspects will provide players with new combat abilities.

Hades can be played on PC and Nintendo Switch.
