Ultra Beast makes an appearance in the Pokemon: Crown Tundra DLC. This guide will show players how they can unlock these extraterrestrial Pokemon. Pokemon Sword & Shield released the final piece of its paid expansion pass with the Crown Tundra. In the Crown Tundra, players can capture over 100 older Pokemon from previous generations, new legendary Pokemon hidden in caves and mountain tops, and a new story scenario where players team up with Calyrex, the main legendary Pokemon for this DLC. One of the biggest selling points for this half of the expansion pass comes with the return of over 20 legendary Pokemon from previous generations for players to capture. This guide will help players unlock the Ultra Beast in the Pokemon: Crown Tundra DLC.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY

Ultra Beast made their debut in Pokemon Sun and Moon as Pokemon from another realm. Players were able to scour around the Alola region to capture and protect the land from these Ultra Beast. The game even developed an original Pokeball called a Beast Ball that makes it easier to capture Ultra Beast. Fortunately, for those who missed out on Pokemon Sun and Moon, players are able to capture up to 11 of the Ultra Beast since they made their debut in Galar. Here’s how players can unlock them.

How To Unlock The Ultra Beast in the Pokemon: Crown Tundra DLC

In order to unlock the Ultra Beast, the player will need to complete all of the legendary clues hidden around in the Crown Tundra. This includes capturing all three of the Galarian legendary birds, completing the Calyrex storyline, and catching all of the Regi’s (Rock, Steel, Ice, Dragon/Electric). Once this is done, head over to the Max Lair and speak with Peony. He will give the player one more legendary clue that shows an image of a wormhole opening above the Crown Tundra. Now, players are able to encounter Ultra Beast from the inside of the Dynamax Adventures. The Pokemon at the end of the cavern is random and players can team up with friends to complete them.

Pokemon Sword & Shield has finally come to a close with the release of the Crown Tundra. There is currently no announcement for more DLC to come to the game in the future and it is fairly unlikely. Game Freak will likely push towards developing a new Pokemon title rather than going back to the Galar region. Although, the DLC has been a massive treat for fans of the region. Hopefully, this will be the method for distributing new content in the future.
