Hugh Jackman has taken to Instagram to share a clip of himself singing the “Bacon Pancakes” song from Adventure Time. The Wolverine actor recently starred in the sci-fi film Reminiscence, which saw him reunited with his The Greatest Showman co-star Rebecca Ferguson. Earlier this year, Jackman also had a brief vocal cameo in Ryan Reynold’s film Free Guy and is currently preparing for his return to Broadway in the upcoming revival of The Music Man.

Cartoon Network’s hit animated series Adventure Time garnered an incredibly impressive fan base across its 10-season run, with many devastated when it was announced that it would be ending in 2018.  The series centered around Jake the Dog and Finn the Human, two adoptive brothers who shared a number of exciting and wholesome adventures together. Since its conclusion, Adventure Time has gone on to have a number of spin-off specials, as well a popular comic-book series that brought season 11 to life for many fans by continuing on from where the show had come to an end. Now, it appears as though the series boasts one particularly famous fan.

Taking to Instagram, Jackman shared a sweet clip of him singing one of the songs from Adventure Time, “Bacon Pancakes.” The star can be seen standing in an empty stadium, donning a Bacon Pancakes T-shirt, as he excitedly sings the jingle to the camera. Alongside the bacon and pancake emojis, the star even tagged Cartoon Network in the post. Adventure Time featured a number of fun jingles and vocal numbers, however, one of the more popular earworms was “Bacon Pancakes,” which featured in two of the show’s episodes. Now, it appears the song works as a great vocal warm-up, as Jackman’s presence in the empty stadium is likely down to his ongoing rehearsals in the run-up to The Music Man‘s official opening, which is currently set for next month.

What exactly inspired the star to share the clip remains to be seen, however fans of both Jackman and the Adventure Time series will be delighted at this somewhat unexpected cross-over, and will likely be hoping to hear him sing more of those memorable jingles in the future. With a brand new spin-off for Adventure Time currently in the works at HBO Max, perhaps the actor is putting himself forward for consideration. Given Jackman’s vocal talents, the star could be a fantastic addition to the upcoming release, but for now, it remains to be seen what the spin-off has in store.
