Warning! Spoilers for Hulk #5 by Marvel Comics

The Hulk is facing off against one of the deadliest Gamma monsters he’s ever clashed with, as he’s set to take on Spider-Hulk in a new Marvel Comics battle. In a new preview for next week’s Hulk #5, the Jade Giant quickly realizes that the Spider-Hulk he faces is stronger than he anticipated, leading Bruce Banner to up his Hulk’s power level as it takes a beating in the real world.

Before the Hulk arrived in an alternate reality where the Spider-Hulk came from, Marvel Comics showed how the hero had changed in a big way on his Earth. In the newest Hulk series, Bruce Banner successfully splits the Hulk into different parts. He controls the physical Hulk and pilots the monster like a starship inside his psyche. To fuel the Hulk’s rage, Banner locks the Hulk inside the Engine Room in his mind, where he fights a series of opponents to power up the actual Hulk. For example, he recently took down Fin Fang Foom to power up against real-life attackers. However, he’s taking his powers up another level to stop a new Gamma-powered foe.
