Warning! Spoilers for Hulk #3 by Marvel Comics

The Hulk just used Wolverine’s claws against him in one of the most badass ways, turning the hero’s adamantium-coated bones into an even deadlier weapon. In Hulk #3, the Jade Giant faces off against a giant-sized Wolverine inside the Engine Room. The Hulk ends up ripping off the mutant’s hand and impaling him with his own claws in one of the most violent Marvel Comics moments in some time.

In the current Hulk series from Marvel Comics, Bruce Banner has split his psyche into three different parts as he pilots the Hulk like a starship. To fuel the Hulk’s rage, he has the green monster fight dangerous opponents inside the Engine Room – a place inside his mind where the Hulk battles escalating levels of opponents, with each victory powering him up more. As the Hulk ends up in an alternate reality, the fight inside the Engine Room against a giant-sized Wolverine continues, as the troubled hero uses the X-Men’s claws against him and turns them into an even deadlier weapon.

In Hulk #3 by Donny Cates, Ryan Ottley, Cliff Rathburn, Frank Martin, Federico Blee, and VC’s Cory Petit, the Hulk confronts a version of himself from an alternate reality. However, Banner realizes he hasn’t shut down the Engine Room inside the Hulk’s mind, as a deadly battle rages on to fuel the hero. In the fight, the Hulk takes Wolverine’s decapitated hand (with the claws unsheathed) and turns it into a weapon against the giant-sized hero. Hulk ends up stabbing Wolverine and impales him with his own claws.

However, as the Hulk defeats his opponent and the giant-sized Wolverine fades away after being stabbed with his own claws, a mysterious figure who looks like a dark version of the Jade Giant makes his presence known. The Hulk immediately attacks the villainous figure, but it ultimately disappears, leading the longtime Avenger to beg for it to “please come back.” Inside the Engine Room, it appears Hulk’s own King in Black-like adversary has some form of control over what’s happening in Banner’s psyche.

Seeing the Hulk take on a massive Wolverine inside Bruce Banner’s psyche makes for quite an entertaining fight. The Engine Room allows Banner to increase his rage when needed by sending some insane opponents for the Hulk to face off against. In this case, the hero defeated Wolverine by turning his claws against him and making them an even deadlier weapon. Readers can see Hulk’s battle on the giant-sized Wolverine as Hulk#3 by Marvel Comics is in store now.
