It is just overall a good idea to continuously upgrade and level up everything that players are able to, but doing so will cost players a wealth of different upgrade materials.

One of the bigger resources that players are going to require for leveling up their equipment in Immortals Fenyx Rising is Adamantine Shards. The issue though is that there are actually four different types of Adamantine Shards and each one does something different in the game. On top of this, some of the Shards are rarer than others, so players who want to acquire them will have to put in more work to get some of them. This guide shows players how to quickly acquire all four types of Adamantine Shards.

Immortals Fenyx Rising – How to Get Blue Shards

Blue Adamantine Shards are actually the most common of the Shards and players will be using them to upgrade just about all of their gear over time. As equipment continues to get upgraded though players will eventually reach a point though where they will need a massive amount of these Shards. That is why it is so important to know exactly where to find the Blue Shards.

• Cutting Grass and Bushes – Immortals Fenyx Rising actually takes a page out of the old school Legend of Zelda games by letting players acquire Shards by chopping down the local vegetation. Almost any time that players manage to cut grass or remove a bush they will receive a small number of Shards, so whenever players need a few extra it is always a good idea to attack anything green nearby.
• Blue Shard Clusters – As players explore the world they most likely come across large blue crystals that can be shattered with a strike from a weapon. It is a really good idea for players to do this whenever they can in order to acquire a large amount of Blue Shards when the crystal breaks apart.
• Opening Chests – Whenever chests are opened they will typically grant players a number of Blue Shards. It is a good idea for players to open every chest they come across in order to maximize the number of Shards they receive.
• Killing Enemies – By far the most constant source of Blue Shards in the game comes from killing enemies throughout the world. Every time an enemy dies they will drop a small number of Blue Shards that can be picked up by the player. Players should kill as many enemies as they can if they want to score some extra Blue Shards for leveling up.

Those who want to dish out as much damage as they physically can against their enemies will want to pick up Red Adamantine Shards whenever they can. Red Shards can be to upgrade swords and axes in the game, so they are a hot commodity. The downside though is that these Shards are much harder to track down than their Blue counterpart. Here are the places that players are able to get Red Adamantine Shards.

• Red Shard Clusters – Just like with Blue Shards, players are able to find clusters of the Red Shards as they are exploring the world. They are very rare, but if players manage to find one they will want to shatter it. By doing so players will receive a huge amount of Red Shards in their inventory.
• Looting Guarded Chests – Guarded Chests are special chests in the game that are guarded by difficult enemies. Players will have to swoop in and defeat all the enemies nearby in order to be able to open these chests and acquire Red Shards inside as well as any other loot. The upside is that players are actually able to click the right stick to scan their nearby area and point out any chests that may be around them.
• Defeating Elite Enemies – While players won’t receive Red Shards for bringing down normal bad guys, they will get some anytime they manage to defeat a unique elite enemy out in the world. Players will find quite a few of these bad guys roaming around or during the course of different missions. You can tell the difference between normal enemies and unique ones because their name will appear at the top of the screen when encountered

Purple Adamantine Shards are some that players will want to acquire if they want to increases their defenses. With these crystals, players are able to upgrade any pieces of armor that they are in possession of. They work very similarly to Red Crystals, but if anything they are actually even rarer because they aren’t dropped by any enemies in the game.

• Purple Shard Clusters – Just like the other types of Adamantine Shards players will be able to get purple ones by tracking down clusters. Once these have been found players can smash them to pieces in order to receive a lot of Shards. These are very rare though compared to Blue Clusters.
• Epic Chests –The only other way for players to obtain Purple Shards is to track down Epic Chests and unlock them. Unlike Guarded Chests players luckily don’t have to worry about facing off against any deadly enemies, but these chests do require some significant thought to unlock. Each of the Epic Chests are typically tied to a puzzle that players will need to solve before they will open up and give away all of their goodies. Players can use their Far Sight ability to view the area until they see a symbol with a golden piece of armor on it. This shows the location of an Epic Chest that players can then track down to receive some Purple Shards.

Immortals Fenyx Rising – How to Get Yellow Shards

While they may not seem as important as the other shards, obtaining Yellow Shards are a great way to ensure that players have a more well-rounded character. With Yellow Shards players will be able to increase their arrow and potion carrying capacities, which will make all combat encounters in the future easier for the player. There are actually three ways to get Yellow Shards.

• Yellow Shard Clusters – As usual, the first way that players will be able to get Yellow Shards is by putting in the work to track down Yellow Shard Clusters. A quick hit will shatter these clusters and grant players and a large number of Shards.
• Opening Chests – Just like with Blue Shards, looting any chest out in the world has the chance to give players a certain number of Yellow Shards. Players who are looking for Yellow, in particular, should open up every chest they encounter just in case.
• Hall of Gods Challenges – This isn’t always a guarantee, but if players complete challenges from the Hall of Gods there is a chance that Yellow Shards can be their reward. Just keep an eye out for these challenges to see if they are giving out any Shards.
