Here’s a guide to Harley Quinn’s special moves and combos in video game Injustice 2. Harley Quinn originally appeared in the “Joker’s Favor” episode of Batman: The Animated Series as a henchwoman for the Joker. Harley’s voice actress Arleen Sorkin had previously appeared in soap opera Days Of Our Lives and in one episode dressed up as a jester, which inspired writer Paul Dini in the creation of the character. Harley proved popular with fans of the show and became a recurring character, with the “Harley And Ivy” episode – where she teams up with Poison Ivy – considered one of the best episodes of the entire series.

Her backstory would later be fleshed out through both the show and comics, where it was revealed Harley was once a psychiatrist who fell madly in love with the Joker while treating him in Arkham. Despite Harley’s popularity, it took a long time for the character to make her big screen debut. She was originally supposed to appear in Batman Unchained, which would have been Joel Schumacher’s follow-up to Batman & Robin. In that story, Harley would have been the daughter of Jack Nicholson’s Joker, and would have teamed with Scarecrow to seek revenge on Batman; Courtney Love and Madonna were rumored for the part. Harley Quinn instead made her movie debut with 2016’s Suicide Squad, where she was played by Margot Robbie; Robbie will reprise the character for 2020’s Birds Of Prey.

Harley Quinn also appeared in the Injustice video game series. The original game takes place in an alternate universe where Superman kills the Joker after he’s tricked into setting off a nuclear bomb. Injustice 2 finds Harley seeking some redemption for her past deeds, and she helps the Justice League rebuild society following Superman’s defeat. Here’s a breakdown of Harley’s special moves and combos for both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One players.

While Injustice 2 is mainly an excuse for iconic superheroes and villains to punch each other around in a Mortal Kombat-style manner, it’s got a surprisingly involved story too. Harley Quinn, in particular, gets a nice character arc in the game, including an emotional scene where she hallucinates the Joker due to some fear gas dropped by the Scarecrow. Joker wants her to shed her new heroic persona, but Harley resists and they fight, where she finally rids herself of his toxic influence.

Injustice 2 was declared one of the best fighting games of 2017 and while Injustice 3 has yet to be confirmed, it’s almost a certainty. With Harley Quinn’s ever-expanding popularity, fans should expect her to make another return appearance.
