Inside: Every Song In Bo Burnham’s Netflix Special (& How To Listen)

Comedian Bo Burnham is back with a new Netflix special, Inside, which features 20 songs ranging from the hilarious to the bleak to the downright bizarre. Filmed entirely by Burnham himself inside his guest house over the course of roughly a year, Inside documents his experience of isolation during the coronavirus pandemic.

Inside is Burnham’s first comedy special since 2016’s Make Happy, though he has since directed comedy specials for fellow comedians Jerrod Carmichael and Chris Rock. He also wrote and directed the coming-of-age movie Eighth Grade, and starred in the thriller Promising Young Woman. In Inside, Burnham reveals that he had been planning to return to the world of stand-up comedy in January 2020, but those plans were waylaid by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Burnham’s latest special is as much performance art as comedy, mixing colorful music videos with experimental takes on internet phenomena like Twitch streaming and YouTube reaction videos, and behind-the-scenes moments of Burnham creating the special. Is Bo Burnham’s Inside Available On Spotify Or iTunes?

Unfortunately for those hoping to listen to “White Woman’s Instagram” of “Welcome to the Internet” on their morning commute, the soundtrack for Bo Burnham: Inside is not available on Spotify or iTunes. The songs are also unlikely to release on those platforms any time soon. Burnham’s previous Netflix special, Make Happy, is still not available as a separate album on Spotify or iTunes, since Netflix has the exclusive distribution rights.

Since the songs in Inside are very closely tied to their visuals and to the non-musical parts of the special between them, the best way to experience them is by watching the show itself. But for those looking for a way to listen to Inside‘s songs on the go, Netflix offers the option of downloading its TV shows and movies so that they can be watched offline. Netflix’s offline viewing is available using the latest version of the Netflix app on Apple phones and tablets, Android phones and tablets, Amazon Fire tablets, Windows 10 phones and computers, and some Chromebook and Chromebox models.
