WARNING! Spoilers for Into the Dark: Midnight Kiss ahead.

Midnight Kiss is the latest installment in Blumhouse TV’s seasonal anthology series, Into the Dark, and this entry sets its sights on New Year’s Eve for its holiday horror.

Carter Smith (The Ruins) directs a stylized script from Erlingur Thoroddsen (Child Eater) that gleefully embraces the conventions of the slasher genre, but gives them a modern update with a cast of LBGTQ+ characters front and center as themes like toxic relationships are explored. As a dangerous masked killer invades this group of friends’ festivities, survival becomes the priority over hopes of hooking up. Even though Midnight Kiss is Into the Dark’s New Year’s Eve installment, Hulu isn’t going to make audiences wait until 2020 to enjoy it. Midnight Kiss is available to stream on Hulu on December 27th, which gives viewers enough time to make sure that their New Year’s Eves don’t also end in gruesome bloodshed.

Smith’s Midnight Kiss intentionally involves a tiny cast of characters who spend New Year’s Eve together in a rather claustrophobic setting that allows their lengthy history to fester. Accordingly, here’s the complete list of Midnight Kiss’ accomplished cast and the details about the characters that they play.

Into The Dark’s Midnight Kiss’ Main Cast & Characters

Augustus Prew as Cameron: It’s Cameron’s uninhibited, adventurous attitude that helped launch the group’s “Midnight Kiss” tradition in the first place. Cameron is the most beloved member of his friends and it’s this outgoing attitude that brings on Logan’s obsession in the first place. Cameron is currently dating Joel, but he’s made his way through most of the group. Cameron takes a bullet during Midnight Kiss’ conclusion, but he survives through the night with a powerful new clarity. Augustus has popped up in Kick-Ass 2, Prison Break’s 2017 revival, and most recently, Apple TV+’s The Morning Show.

Scott Evans as Joel: Joel is incredibly brazen and has a real chip on his shoulder. He’s committed to Cameron, but definitely takes him for granted. Joel becomes Logan’s biggest target and nearly meets his end by some deviously placed fireworks. Joel survives the night, but Logan’s actions form a wedge between Joel and Cameron, effectively ending their romance. Scott Evans has previously appeared in TV shows like White Collar and Grace and Frankie, as well as being the brother to fellow superstar, Chris Evans.

Ayden Mayeri as Hannah: Hannah is the “fruitfly,” the one heterosexual female amongst the group of gay male friends. Hannah’s past New Year’s Eves have resulted in her ending up alone, left to wallow in her own self-pity. When the dust settles, Hannah and Cameron are the only two left who will remain friends in 2020. Ayden Mayeri has lent her talents to shows like Workaholics and New Girl, plus she had a major role in Amazon’s Homecoming with Julia Roberts.

Lukas Gage as Logan: Logan is the meekest member of this group of friends. Logan continually tries to steal Cameron’s focus, but he becomes more unhinged as he witnesses Cameron’s loyalty to Joel. Logan’s obsession with Cameron charts back to New Year’s Eve of 2013 when he was Cameron’s “Midnight Kiss.” It’s this emotional baggage that pushes him to execute his friends. In the end, he’s collectively taken out by Cameron, Hannah, and Joel, and dies with a broken heart. Lukas Gage has made appearances in films like Assassination Nation and had major roles in Netflix’s American Vandal and HBO’s new big hit, Euphoria.

Adam Faison as Dante: Dante is somewhat of an outsider to the group of friends. Cameron spots him at the nightclub and he becomes his “Midnight Kiss” for 2019. Cameron brings Dante back to their guesthouse and they form a genuinely sweet bond. Sadly, the killer suffocates Dante before he and Cameron have a chance to get intimate. Adam Faison’s credits include Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Here and Now, and the upcoming Freeform series, Everything’s Gonna Be Okay.

Chester Lockhart as Zachary: Zachary is the group’s foppish friend who’s super concerned with fashion, status, and keeping up appearances. Zachary just wants to have a fun night, but he’s killed by Logan, who uses a broken champagne bottle in a deeply disturbing fashion. Chester Lockhart is a little fresher to the scene, but his credits include Todrick and RuPaul’s Drag Race, with him also set to appear on this season of Showtime’s Shameless.

Update: In a previous version of this, the final paragraph made reference to Adam Faison, when it should have been Chester Lockhart.
