WARNING! Spoilers for Into the Dark: Pooka Lives! ahead.

Each installment of Hulu’s Into the Dark provides an interesting spin on seasonal horror, but there’s typically an entertaining cast of characters and actors that help create this terror.

Hulu has found major success with their seasonal horror anthology series, Into the Dark, which brings a new horror film to the streaming service every month that gets to showcase some up and coming talent in the genre, both in front of and behind the camera. The show’s second season has gotten even more creative with how it approaches these holidays and Pooka Lives! is the series’ biggest gamble yet.

Pooka Lives! is Into the Dark’s first official sequel as it tells an unconventional continuation to Nacho Vigalondo’s Christmas entry from the first season. There’s usually some impressive talent assembled for Into the Dark, but Blumhouse has gone above and beyond here and put together one of their strongest ensembles yet with their cast for Pooka Lives! Since many of these actors are likely familiar faces to the audience, here’s where they can also be seen.

Into The Dark’s Pooka Lives! Main Cast & Characters

Malcolm Barrett as Derrick: Derrick plays a disenfranchised novelist who now works as a copywriter for Pooka and needs to return to his hometown and move in with Molly and Matt for a few months after some professional and financial setbacks. Barrett’s work typically skews towards comedic fare, like Better Off Ted, Santa Clarita Diet, or the humor that he brought to Timeless, but his run on Preacher had him brushing up more with the horror genre.

Felicia Day as Molly: Molly is Derrick’s friend from high school and she tries to push a positive, spiritual energy to balance things out. Felicia Day is a very geek-friendly face who started on a much smaller scale, first getting major recognition from her work on The Guild, but she’s gone to become a legitimate talent and has appeared in projects like Adventure Time, Supernatural, and the rebooted Mystery Science Theater 3000: The Return.

Jonah Ray as Matt: Jonah Ray plays Molly’s husband, Matt, who’s yet another stable energy for Derrick during this tumultuous time. Jonah Ray has been instrumental in the shows The Meltdown and Hidden America. Most recently, Ray’s biggest claim to fame was being put front and center in the new Mystery Science Theater 3000: The Return, but he’s also showed up in horror projects like Victor Crowley and Stan Against Evil.

Lyndie Greenwood as Susan: Susan also works at the Pooka company with Derrick and while they also share a history, he still holds a major torch for her. Lyndie Greenwood may not be the most recognizable name, but she’s been putting in her dues for a while now on TV and privileged enough to be a series regular on a wealth of series including Sleepy Hollow, Nikita, and most recently, The Expanse.

Gavin Stenhouse as Bennie: Bennie is another friend of Derek, Molly, and Matt who’s remained in his hometown, but become a cop over the years. One of Stenhouse’s more memorable stints was on 9-1-1 and he has the privilege of being in what’s arguably considered to be Black Mirror’s best episode, “San Junipero.” He’s also appeared in an episode of American Horror Story.

Into The Dark’s Pooka Lives! Supporting Cast & Characters

Rachel Bloom as Ellie Burgess: Rachel Bloom’s character Ellie Burgess is the creator of Pooka. Rachel Bloom’s best known for her starring role in the musical comedy series, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend. Bloom’s getting more live-action work, but she also has an illustrious career as a voice actress, doing work in Robot Chicken, BoJack Horseman, the Trolls franchise, and more.

Wil Wheaton as David: Wil Wheaton plays Ellie’s husband, David, and he’s less than appreciative of how much she throws herself into her work. Wil Wheaton has very much become a big name in science fiction thanks to his work on Star Trek: The Next Generation. Wheaton has even played an exaggerated version of himself on The Big Bang Theory. He’s also done a lot of vocal work, with his voice appearing in many Transformers and superhero animated series.
