Corrupt superheroes that are more appealing to adult audiences have become popular lately, and the Amazon animated series Invincible is full of them. Omni-Man and his like-minded counterparts have firm control over Earth, but the show isn’t just a villain-fest. A number of the characters are focused on doing good too.

Thanks to great character development, everyone on the critically acclaimed show has clear motivations. This makes analyzing their traits and general personalities much easier, especially when using the Myers-Briggs system. The decisions that Omni-Man, Robot, Atom Eve, and Invincible make are all linked to where they fall on the 16 personality types.

10 Nolan Grayson Aka Omni-Man – ESTJ

ESTJs enjoy taking charge, and for this reason, they are also known as “The Supervisors.” However, the lines between good and bad are blurry for them sometimes. On a couple of occasions, they will do bad things for what they believe is the greater good. Omni-Man is exactly like this.

As the show’s primary antagonist, Omni-Man is a know-it-all who disregards the vital perspectives of others. He enjoys bossing not just his son Mark Grayson but every living being he encounters on Earth. He has committed heinous crimes for the Viltrumite Empire, including killing the Guardians of the Globe, as he believes such actions will result in a better universe.

9 Samantha Eve Wilkins Aka Atom Eve – ENFJ

ENFJs are good at bringing out the best in people. They also aim to please. In addition to that, they are idealistic, outspoken, and ethical. Most importantly, they are visionaries, always having ideas for a better future. These traits can be spotted in former Guardians of the Globe member, Atom Eve.

Even though she already has some of the best powers in Invincible, Eve dedicates her time to finding inner growth because she wants to learn better ways to help people. She also aims to use her powers to create a world that is peaceful and more habitable for kind people like her. And whenever she is troubled, Eve never hesitates to open up. She does this with Mark and anyone else who will listen. Her ethical nature is also seen during her time at the Beckwell Community Center.

8 Mark Grayson Aka Invincible – ISFP

ISFPs are gentle and kind. They are friendly too and prefer living in the moment rather than worrying too much about the future. And just like Mark, they are very flexible.

Early in his life, Mark doesn’t consider himself good enough to be a hero but he demonstrates his flexibility by learning to be one. He is aware that he lives in an evil world and that his father is one of the biggest villains of them all but he remains dedicated to protecting Earth and also living a normal life at the same time. And unlike his father, Mark is never mean to anyone.

7 Cecil Stedman – ENTJ

ENTJs have great leadership abilities. They spot inefficiency wherever everyone else doesn’t and go on to initiate change. Their intelligence enables them to come up with logical ideas at all times, just like Cecil Stedman.

Stedman’s leadership abilities are on full display as he serves as the head of The Global Defense Agency. He is among the first people to discover how evil Omni-Man and so he tries to change things by becoming Mark’s handler and empowering him to be a hero. No problem is unsolvable to him, whether it’s stopping an attack at a city or exorcising a possessed detective.

6 Debbie Grayson – ISTJ

ISTJs enjoy keeping things orderly. They normally appear too serious and formal to strangers but they are fun in person. ISTJ’s also enjoy taking great care of those around them. That’s how Debbie is.

Debbie takes good care of Nolan when she first meets him. As she becomes concerned about his lunacy, her devotion shifts to her son, leading to one of the best relationships in Invincible. She remains focused on keeping Mark out of harm’s way and advises him about life regularly. Though she tends to be overwhelmed by the chaotic proceedings caused by her husband, she remains focused at all times.

5 Amber Bennet – ESTP

ESTPs are thrillseekers who enjoy extinguishing fires. They leap before they look, and whenever something bad happens, they solve it right there and then. Social interactions mean everything to them but they are not easy to impress. Such characteristics can be spotted in Mark’s love interest Amber Bennet.

Amber has put an end to tense situations a number of times in the series. She has stood up to bullies without Mark’s help and gone on risky adventures without his protection. Amber understands Mark’s work as a hero but she doesn’t consider him special. Her cold treatment of Mark might rub some fans the wrong way, but it normally portrays her as a strong individual who won’t just sit back because her lover is a superhero.

4 Amanda aka Monster Girl – INFP

Also known as “The Healers,” INFPs are often willing to help, even if doing this puts them at a disadvantage. They rarely wallow in self-pity and keep on trying their best to make sure there is peace and harmony. Amanda suits this description.

Like The Hulk, Amanda can transform into a huge ogre, making her one of the Invincible characters that have Marvel counterparts. Unfortunately, she has the “Benjamin Button” thing going, since every time she transforms and saves lives, she ages backward. However, this hasn’t discouraged her from doing good. She is aware that she will keep on reverse-aging but that doesn’t matter as long as she uses her powers to make the world a better place.

3 Damien Darkblood – ISTP

There is always an air of mystery surrounding ISTPs. Consequently, they are often misunderstood. Their unpredictability makes others tread with caution around them but they rarely have sinister motives. Damien Darkblood, the fugitive from hell, best demonstrates ISTP traits.

Darkblood seems like a villain when he first appears. He has come from hell after all. Fans soon learn that he is focused on doing good. After the murders of the Guardians of the Globe members, Darkblood makes everyone see that Omni-Man isn’t who everyone thinks he is. It’s unfortunate that he had to be banished back to hell.

2 Rex Sloan aka Rex Splode – ESFP

ESFPs are entertainers who enjoy charming and making jokes. They can be arrogant and rude at times but they rarely spiral to the canyon of maliciousness. Rex Splode displays such characteristics.

Rex is difficult to deal with when he first jumps from the Teen Team to the Guardians, but he eventually grows mature after Omni-Man’s betrayal. When he is not charging things and causing them to explode. Rex cracks jokes and livens the mood of the team. Given how much chaos they find themselves in every single day, Rex’s personality helps create a less stressful atmosphere.

1 Rudolph “Rudy” Connors aka Robot – INTJ

INTJs are the most introverted of all MBTI personality types. This isn’t a problem for them since they are normally self-sufficient. They have genius-level intellect often coming up with unique ideas. That’s how Rudy is.

There are numerous moments that show why Rudy is one of the smartest characters in Invincible. During his brief time on the series, he has cloned himself using Rex Splode’s DNA, operated an army of robotic drones, and created an Iron Man-like suit. His brains aside, Rudy only interacts when necessary and prefers spending the rest of his time coming up with new ideas.
