Season 2 of Iron Fist is just around the corner and that means the return of several familiar faces. Most of the characters introduced in the first season of Marvel’s latest Netflix original series are coming back. The cast isn’t standing pact though, as a few new characters are being added to the mix for the second season.

The fourth Marvel Netflix show, Iron Fist season 1 was dogged by bad reviews, but following a star remaking turn in Luke Cage, it looks like things could turn around. Danny Rand is the Immortal Iron Fist, a magical martial artist who, after years of isolated training, returns to New York City to fight ancient nemesis The Hand. The Defenders left Danny as NYC’s new protector, and that’s where season 2 picks up.

It’s been well over a year since Iron Fist first premiered, so here’s a quick guide to all the characters we know will appear.

Iron Fist Season 2’s Main Heroes

Finn Jones as Danny Rand – The Immortal Iron Fist as he often reminds viewers, Danny is finally back in New York after years of martial arts training in K’un-Lun. He’s already done his part to take down The Hand before, but a new, yet familiar, threat will make life difficult for the billionaire hero. Aside from his Marvel work, Jones is best known as Loras Tyrell on Game of Thrones.

Jessica Henwick as Colleen Wing – A skilled fighter in her own right, Colleen has been right by Danny’s side for most of his journey. She’s proven to be a great partner and hero in her own right, and she’ll get to be paired up with another comic-favorite character this season too, further bringing the Daughters of the Dragon to the screen. Henwick is also a Game of Thrones alum, having appeared as one of the Sand Snakes.

Iron Fist Season 2’s Villains

Sacha Dhawan as Davos – Bested by Danny in K’un-Lun, Davos turned against his former friend by the end of season 1. Now aligned with another rival of Danny’s, Davos will take the necessary steps to become the Steel Serpent in season 2. His own glowing hand and back tattoo confirm the transformation. You may recognize Dhawan from The History BoysAfter Earth or Doctor Who making-of drama An Adventure in Space and Time.

Jessica Stroup as Joy Meachum – The other half of Davos’ villainous plot is Joy Meachum. She approached him in order to join forces and get revenge against Danny together. She’s lost everything thanks to Danny’s return, so she may go to some extreme places to try and get even. Stroup was previously Erin Silver on 90210.

Tom Pelphrey as Ward Meachum – Ward suffered several breakdowns as he tried to follow in the sinister footsteps of his sister and father. He’s a shrewd businessman but fell into drug addiction, something he hopes to have kicked when we see him again. He’s just briefly been shown in the marketing, so his state is largely unknown.

Alice Eve as Typhoid Mary – The new addition for Iron Fist season 2, Typhoid Mary and her three personalities will likely make her both a friend and a foe. She’s traditionally a Daredevil villain, but she’s joining Iron Fist to add another dynamic, or three. Alice Eve joins the cast after a role in Star Trek Into Darkness.

Iron Fist Season 2’s Supporting Cast

Simone Missick as Misty Knight – After appearing in Luke Cage season 1 and 2 and The Defenders, Missick joins the cast of Iron Fist season 2. She’s bringing her crime-fighting skills and robotic arm to the upcoming episodes, which promises to bring her and Colleen together even more. How large of a role she’ll have isn’t clear, but the Daughters of the Dragon will surely be kicking plenty of butt.

James Chen as Sam Chung – A surprising addition to the cast looks to be the inclusion of Sam Chung aka Blindspot. Chen joins after a stint on The Walking Dead to bring the Daredevil sidekick to the series. Chung is an illegal immigrant to the United States, who develops an invisibility suit to join the hero scene.
