Here’s how to watch the documentary Tell Me Who I Am online, including whether it’s available via platforms like Netflix, Hulu or Prime. Tell Me Who I Am is a documentary directed by British filmmaker Ed Perkins, whose previous work includes the Oscar-nominated short film Black Sheep. The documentary first aired in 2019 and tells the tale of identical twin brothers Alex and Marcus Lewis, whose lives were forever changed when Alex suffered amnesia following a motorcycle accident as a teenager and Marcus helped him recover his lost memories.

But be warned: Tell Me Who I Am is not a feel-good documentary. While Alex was eventually able to ease back into a relatively normal life, Marcus omitted telling his brother of a dark and devastating family secret from their shared past – that they’d both been sexually abused by their mother as children. Split into three parts, Tell Me Who I Am follows the twin brothers as they relive their story, from Alex’s accident in their late teens to when Marcus revealed the truth about their mother in their early thirties, through to the present day as they both come to terms with their mother’s abuse.

Harrowing and heartbreaking, Tell Me Who I Am has been described by critics as similar to a psychological thriller and earned director Ed Perkins a nomination for Best Documentary at the British Independent Film Awards. It’s an incredibly powerful documentary, but is Tell Me Who I Am on Netflix, Hulu or Amazon Prime? Here’s where to find the Lewis twins’ story online.

Well, the good news is that Tell Me Who I Am is on Netflix and available in 36 countries including the USA, the UK, Canada and Australia – which should come as no surprise considering the documentary itself is a Netflix Original. Unfortunately, that also means that Tell Me Who I Am isn’t currently available via other streaming services like Hulu or Amazon Prime. Similarly, the documentary can’t currently be purchased or rented via the likes of iTunes, the Microsoft Store or YouTube either.

Viewers intrigued by Tell Me Who I Am may also want to read the 2013 memoir of the same name co-written by Alex and Marcus Lewis and British author Joanna Hines that the documentary was based on. Fans of Ed Perkins’ directorial style can also look forward to Diana – his upcoming documentary about Princess Diana that’s currently slated for a 2022 release.
