Steve-O is widely regarded to be one of the most outrageous risk-takers of the entire Jackass squad, and he’s gone way above and beyond the call of duty over the years. He’s best known for pioneering stunts that no rational human being would ever conceive of, then following through with maximum effort.

As a result, he’s become just as notorious as his outrageous stunts, many of which were shown in the first three Jackass films. From snorting questionable foods to acting as live bait for ravenous sharks in the ocean, Steve-O has done some wild things in his time.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY

Alligator Tightrope (Jackass)

Alligators might be smaller than crocodiles, but they’re still highly dangerous animals that can kill, or at least deal a lot of damage. Steve-O decided to flaunt this fact by trying to climb a tightrope across a pond full of alligators, with raw meat hanging out of the back of his underwear.

If he’d have fallen in, there’s no telling what might have happened. There was an alligator handler present to step in if things went bad, but that was no guarantee. At one point, Steve-O did fall into the pond, then hightailed it to shore, where he ran directly into the path of an alligator’s open jaws. The Jackass crew, including Steve-O, have endured some horrible injuries over the years, but this one could have been the worst.

Wasabi Snooters (Jackass)

Steve-O has a documented history of substance abuse, which is a habit that he managed to overcome a few years ago. However, in the early days of Jackass films, he was down to snort just about anything, no matter how outrageous.

One of his most infamous stunts was “Wasabi Snooters,” where, as the name implies, Steve-O snorted lines of wasabi up his nose for laughs. He reacted violently to it, gagging and vomiting, but that didn’t deter him from giving it a few more shots for the sake of posterity.

Off-Road Tattoo (Jackass)

Steve-O’s tattoos are beyond ridiculous, especially the one on his back, which is an image of himself giving thumbs up to whoever is looking. That didn’t stop him from adding some extra ink to his body in the dumbest way possible – in the back of an off-road vehicle.

With punk rock star Henry Rollins in the driver’s seat, and director Jeff Tremaine with a tattoo needle, Steve-O hung on for dear life, getting inked whilst plowing over rough terrain. The resulting tattoo was a complete fail, which was the entire point of the stunt.

The Leech Monocle (Jackass Number Two)

People have a natural fear of leeches, even though they are still regularly used as medicinal aids for treating open and infected wounds. Nevertheless, the Jackass crew wasn’t interested in any of that. They were more concerned with sticking leeches onto questionable parts of their bodies for the sake of laughs.

Once again, Steve-O wanted to set the bar high, so he decided to let the others attach a leech to his actual eyeball. It was one of the most squeamish stunts of Jackass Number Two, and far more horrible than some of the most disgusting stunts shown in the series.

The Fish Hook (Jackass Number Two)

Steve-O is always up for raising the bar when it comes to outrageous stunts, but this one was a paradigm shift. With Chris Pontius at his side, Steve-O boated out into the middle of the ocean, then decided to lodge a gigantic fish hook through his inner cheek, and out the other side.

Once the hook had been set, he dived over the edge of the boat and decided to act as bait for dangerous aquatic wildlife, including a few hammerhead sharks. The most amazing part of the stunt is just how bloodless the entire thing was. His partnership with Pontius was the kind of thing that led to Wildboyz, one of Jackass’s best spinoffs.

The Fart Mask (Jackass Number Two)

Convincing a member of the Jackass cast to don a mask and allow someone to toot in an attached hose is never a good idea, especially given how manipulative and sly they all are. Yet, for some reason, Steve-O decided to trust that Preston Lacy would stick to the name of the stunt, and not go further.

That hope was short-lived when Lacy decided to go number two into the funnel, sending the noxious fumes into Steve-O’s bowl-shaped mask. It ended as predicted, with Steve-O vomiting all over the place, while the rest of the crew were doubled over at the waist.

Tee Ball (Jackass 3D)

This simple stunt was no less outrageous because of its humble setup. Any time a stunt performer willingly lets themselves get sacked in the groin, pain is going to follow. The stunt involved Ryan Dunn wielding a baseball bat, while Steve-O stood spread-eagled and adjacent to a tee, with a ball attached to the end.

Dunn struck the tee, sending it swiveling the other direction at high speed, and clocking Steve-O right in the groin. He knew it was an outrageous stunt, given how long it took him to muster up the courage to do it.

Sweatsuit Cocktail (Jackass 3D)

Once again, Preston Lacy decided to ruin Steve-O’s day with a stunt that was so absolutely revolting, that it can scarcely be expanded on. The stunt involved Lacy wearing a baggy suit designed to catch the sweat that dripped off his body, whilst he ran on a treadmill for a prolonged period.

Steve-O’s job was to consume it. Audiences had just as hard a time watching it, as Steve-O did drinking it. The stunt was so outrageous and gross that even one of the cameramen was doubling over at the waist in sheer disgust.

Beehive Tetherball (Jackass 3D)

Dave England and Steve-O decided to team up for this stunt, which involved pouring 50,000 aggressive Africanized honey bees into a tetherball. Once kicked and thrown about, the bees poured out of the tetherball and began nailing both England and Steve-O with repeated stings.

While Steve-O managed to hang on for the duration, England was forced to run off with numerous stings all over his body. This stunt was outrageous due to the danger level, as 100 or so stings from Africanized honey bees are enough to kill a human being. Steve-O recently revealed three Jackass stunts too dangerous to release, so he may be ready to up the ante, all over again.

Poo Cocktail Supreme (Jackass 3D)

Steve-O managed to solidify his status as a madman with one of Jackass’s absolute-best and most revolting stunts. It involved attaching tethers to a fully loaded outhouse, with Steve-O strapped securely onto the seat. Once unleashed, the outhouse shot up straight into the air, allowing gravity to work its evil.

The resulting outcome was nothing short of revolting, in every conceivable way. Multiple cast members lost their lunch over it, but that was nothing compared to Steve-O, who was covered head to toe in the unmentionable. Of all the outrageous Jackass stunts he has done over the years, this one takes the cake.
