Accomplished actor Jaleel White’s first television credit was an episode of The Jeffersons in 1984, and his most recent work is the hit spin-off of That’s So RavenRaven’s Home. Before and after his iconic role as Steve Urkel on Family Matters, Jaleel has had many other excellent roles.

From guest roles on television dramas and comedies to parts in movies and other specials, Jaleel White maintains a varied and exciting acting career. He is also a skilled voiceover artist. His IMDb page is insanely long because he has worked so hard in over thirty-five years in the television industry. From his childhood shows to his work as an adult, fans love Jaleel as a person and a professional. Here are his ten highest-rated projects and roles, according to IMDb.

10 Drunk History-7.7

In 2014, Jaleel joined Drunk History, the show where drunk storytellers narrate celebrities’ reenactments of historic events. He played three distinct characters: rapper Grandmaster Caz, Martin Luther King, Jr., and Deputy US Marshal Bass Reeves.

Reeves “is believed to be one of the earliest African Americans to receive a commission as a deputy U.S. marshal west of the Mississippi River” according to the Oklahoma Historical Society.

9 Mr. Belvedere-7.8

In 1987, Jaleel White had an adorable small role on an episode of Mr. Belvedere as Ernie Masters. George becomes a hero after he loses his job, but Ernie is also a hero.

The sweet little boy saves a woman, her baby, and their puppies from a fire. He has burned his hands, but he gets an award for his service to the community.

Fremont and his pals find a dead woman in their hotel suite after a night of drinking, so the episode is about trying to find the woman’s killer.

7 The Game-7.9

Tia Mowry-Hardrict starred in The Game from 2006 to 2012, when she departed from her role. She played the wife of a pro football player.

Jaleel White was on one episode of the show in 2007 called “The Big Chill” as a character named Chris in which Tasha’s boyfriend notes that she is being aggressive.

6 Trial & Error-8.0

Jaleel White guest-starred on two episodes of the crime spoof Trial & Error. His character in the 2018 episodes was a district attorney named Atticus Ditto, Jr.

These episodes are, unfortunately, no longer available on the NBC website, but perhaps they will be on NBC’s upcoming streaming service, Peacock.

5 Psych-8.3

Jaleel did two episodes of Psych, one in 2009 and one in 2012. His character was Anthony “Tony” Clemon, a member of the “Blackapella/Quarterblack” a capella group. The other members are Drake, Joon (Kenan Thompson), Spencer, Shawn, and Gus.

In White’s first appearance, “High Top Fade Out,” a college member of the group has been killed, so Shawn is called on to investigate. The second episode White was in is “Let’s Doo-wop It Again.” It’s time to sing for a charity event, but Shawn goes to the hospital with appendicitis, and the charity event host is shot. The singers decide to intervene.

4 Boston Legal-8.4

In 2007, Jaleel White played Kevin Givens in an episode of the long-running drama Boston Legal called “Guise ‘n Dolls.”  White’s character is a law school graduate in the interview process for a job at Crane, Poole, & Schmidt.

3 Good Morning, Miss Bliss-8.4

Some forget that Saved by the Bell was first Good Morning, Miss Bliss with Hayley Mills as Miss Carrie Bliss. Jaleel White played a student named Bobby Wilson in Miss Bliss’s class on the pilot episode in 1987. The young teacher is trying to help another one of her troubled students, but Bobby is quite cheerful.

He has some funny lines, and it’s fascinating to see a baby Jaleel in a pre-Urkel role. He looks very different from his long-time role on Family Matters, and one wonders what it would have been like if he had been on Saved by the Bell instead.

2 House-8.8

In 2011, Jaleel White guest-starred on the season eight opener of House. By this point, he had already done several more serious roles in his career, so this one made sense.

White plays a prison entrepreneur named Porter who tries to help House obtain twenty Vicodin as an exit tax. A prisoner named Mendelson and his white supremacist gang take all the Vicodin together, so the plan doesn’t work.

1 DuckTales-8.9

Jaleel White has done plenty of voiceover work throughout his acting career. An animated Steve Urkel got to hang out with Scooby-Doo in 2019. White then lent his talent to a 2020 episode of the new DuckTales. Fans young and old have been excited about this reboot.

The episode “Quack Pack!” puts Donald, Huey, Dewey, Louie, Scrooge, and friends into a fictional sitcom called Quack Pack! Jaleel White voices a character named Gene the Genie, who grants Donald Duck a wish.
